March Hols

March hols are here...

well, it's already tuesday. haix.

but, anyway, here's a recap of the past few days...

Saturday:
Nothing much... went for CO which was average before eating with perc people. Then, went for dental appointment. nothing much there as well... Weiqi was next and i lost rather badly. haha. sigh. nvm... anyway, jiang was also ok. lol nothing much to talk about. hmm...

Sunday:
CIP! yeah. @ the zoo. haha. went to zoo at 730am. had quite a wait there, watching some kids play b4 some other RI people came along and we went in for a briefing. I was supposed to be in charge of a game called salamandar dance. haha. quite funny. it was a game where there was a mat with a lot of footprints and the kids were supposed to follow these footprints to move from one end to the other just like how a salamandar would. so, after the briefing, we set off in one of the cool zookeeper's car-like tram to the place where we would set up our booth, the fragile forest. took some time to make some preparations like setting up the table, laptop, game, whiteboards and stuff... Then, we started realising that there were millions of mosquitos there and i was wearing the school PE pants, which meant i was rather vulnerable. Started itching everywhere just like some other ri people but after a while it was ok and we started work. Publicity people started doing their job but realised there was no one coming. Not surprising given that we were at the inner most part of the zoo. But the publicity people got rather fed up and we swapped task. haha. so shanzhi and i were in charge of publicity. started out slow, but it gradually picked up pace as more and more people came. and with shanzhi and my brilliant communication skills, people started going in. Not just families with kids, but also adults. haha. Then, Marc, who was in charge of another booth next to us called Frog Calls came over to help up with publicity cuz there were already 2 cedar girls manning the booth. haha. so, we three started doing publicity. it was rather fun communicating with random people, giving out vises to people, telling them about the year of the frog and our job here. haha. from children and teenagers to adults and elderlies. haha. the people were usually rather nice. When I invited this elderly to go play some games, he said "哎呀,人都那么老了,还玩什么?". haha. anyway, quite fun luh. so we did publicity for 2.5 hrs straight b4 going for lunch. lunch was ok... not bad bah. den shanzhi and i bought a bottle of ice lemon tea and it caused $3. omg. lol. and we soon realised how dumb we were when we saw that there were free drinks provided for us. haha. ok nvm. so during lunch, Marc and I were having fun talking cock and after lunch we continued with publicity. Then, it started to rain, so we went in to help out with the booth, giving instructions to kids, making them want to play and cheering them when they were playing. Sounds like taiwan heh. haha. but much smaller scale. Nvm, it was still good memories. haha. So, that was rather slack. We did get many people to play. There was this adult who was quite funny. He said "我可以玩吗?". Den I said "当然可以啦" and he said "但是我玩了后,骨头都碎了怎么办?". haha. so i said "应该不会吧". haha, den he said "还是不要啦,除非你打电话叫ambulance来". haha. very funny. anyway, our booth attracted quite a lot of people. some teenagers played as well. haha. so funny. (: but overall, good job done by Marc and me cuz we made many people want to play. Den it stopped raining at 2+ and we started doing publicity again. muahaha. very fun. giving out vises again and stuff. but, it all ended at around 4 and we packed up and left. Marc and I took a slow walk back to the auditorium and Marc took some pics along the way. haha. quite nice. the zebras, orang utans, giraffes... haha all very cute. well, so after that, it was some small reflections before we all went home. The other booth also included the face painting booth which was rather funny. haha. Justin had his face painted.. damn funny. but quite nice luh. I would never be able to do that. AEP pro. haha. anyway, got to know a few friends through this CIP including already known friends like Marc, Shanzhi and Justin and other friends like Shanghai and Derwin who are like Jerald x2. haha. (: damn funny people. they talk totally random. not bad... quite fun but of course very tiring. publicity for 4 hrs = walking around for 4 hrs. haha.

Monday:
Hmm CIP AGAIN! haha. this time at RGPS for primary 4 GE chinese cultural camp. I was a 特别助手, which was like a non-class based PSL. Hmm. it was a rather nice experience given that I was a class-based PSL in RI so experiencing non-class based PSLs was new. Hmm. we thought it would be rather slack but it didn't start out that way. we were supposed to give out files and gifts to various classes. But, some wrong labelling of classes and disorganization caused us to need to check whether the number of files were correct for 4 times and gifts at least twice. In the end, all went well. OH! and I saw 王白安老师 there. HAHA! omg... so funny. dunno whether he recognized me. He was teaching 书法. but anyway, after that, we were more organized and we started doing stuff faster and thus had much slack time. helped out a bit with the food stuff at the canteen and other gifts and stuff. Nothing much bah. Cleaning up and stuff. Later on, got to become a prize presenter so got to be on stage muahaha. with jie liang. haha. 4B cec. hmm. nothing much though. later on, had to sort out the feedback forms which was a rather tedious task. but teamwork among ying jie, shu jian and me made the job much faster. So, overall, it was ok. got to know a few friends, saw how GE people used to study and of course I got to see how P4 people had lessons. Hmm. haha. their lessons seem rather boring somehow. im so glad i have more interesting lessons in RI. but i guess as children, the lessons can't be too interesting given that they wouldn't understand some jokes and stuff. But GE people are honestly very enthu. lol. first time i see so many people raise their hands for a question asked and so many people listening attentively. so, overall, quite ok...

all, right, so that was the previous few days.
