Woah. I had a really fun saturday and sunday. Really enjoyed it man. Let's recap the happenings.

Sat:
1205: I switch off my com and get ready to go onli to realise I hadn't bought lunch for mom. oh damn. Lol. I decide to buy for myself too. So, a quick buy from the coffeshop downstairs and a quick lunch at home b4 i went out at 1230. Oops. I'm 30 mins behind schedule. Lol. okok.

1230: I prepare to go out..... Onli to realise I didn't noe how to go to Whompoa CC. WALAO. Lol. So, I grabbed a bus guide and a street directory and found out that all i needed to do was take 162 to novena b4 changing to 21 or 131. Ok. easy. Lol. So, i went out.

1320: I reach Whompoa b4 the expected time (1400) by 40 mins. Lol. so what do i do? I played with phb. LOL. and i thrashed him once b4 we had an unfinished game which in my opinion was rather close b4 we realised that competition was about to begin. Ok. So let's start......

1400: First match against some guy. Lol. b4 it started we were playing mind games (or at least I think we were). HAHA. Ok. but that's beside the point. So, we started and it started off quite ok in my opinion. It was a rather even game. In the end I still managed to win the game after he made a horrendous series of bad moves for me to eat his whole jiao and centre. lol. ok. HORRENDOUS. hahahaha.

1530: Next game starts and wth. I'm AGAINST QI XU!!! ARGH!!! ok. maybe I shldn't be that scared. I think our skills are about the same just that my track record against him hasn't been very gd. I lost to him in Qiuping cup last year. And it was a rather bad loss too. Sigh. Ok. but the game started. It started off quite ok b4 he attacked my land and i fan-ji-ed. Lol. fanjied means counter attack. Hmm... It ended up quite well for me as I killed his whole jiao and whole centre although it also made his jiao and his shi li much bigger. In the end though, I still won him by a lot with him having 150+ as white. (white needs 177 to win.)

1800: the final round for sat began. the 3rd round of the competition. I faced some noob one-pointer and won her easily. Lol. ok. sry for stating the word noob. She isn't that bad but well, definitely not up to standard yet. so...

So the day ended. Went home and had 2 matches with yi heng b4 going to slp to prepare for sun's 4 matches...

okok... this is boring. let's go straight to the competition...

930: 4th round begins. I'm against..... Heng Yi (the guy who won Yi Heng on 3rd round). Well, this guy is quite ok la. definitely not my standard yet but still can win me on his day i guess. So i was extra careful but...... i still made a few mistakes in the beginning which made him have a slight advantage. However, in mid-game, he lost his whole bian and a bit of the centre and thus, I won quite comfortably with him black 150+. Hmmm... ok.

1100: Woah. OMG. I'm against Ernest. ARGH!!! Lol. Thinks back this year qiuping where I so tyco-ly won him. He made a big mistake and I still won him by a bit onli. Well, this time, it started off quite ok b4 he made one slight error for me to take a slight advantage and I held that advantage all the way till the end to win him by a mere 3 seeds. hahaha. heng sia... I really pity Ernest though. He's a really good player. haix...

After the 4th round, onli 4 ppl had a 100% record, that is me, Ernest, Chen Le and Chuah. I beat Ernest and Chuah beat Chen Le which meant that after the 5th round onli me and Chuah had a 100% record which made it natural for me to face him next.

1400: 6th round. Me against Chuah. Hmm... From the start of the game, he was leading and i knew my skills were not as gd as his (cuz i played with him online b4 and he won me). So, I knew I had little chance of winning the game. I just kept the advantage he had as slight as possible and waited for him to make an error. Well, no error came until the 7th last move of the game where I da chi and he didn't see and I ate around 12 seeds. WOW. a lot of ppl were looking at that game at that time and everyone started laughing. Lol. I couldn't help but laugh too. I was losing until the last 7 moves. HAHA. ok... Well, in the end I won by 4 seeds to secure my 6th straight victory. WOW. First time ever man. I felt sorry for chuah though. He shld have won and shld be the top in the grp. Sigh. Maybe I shld apologise to him one day. hahaha. ok. anyway, that wasn't the end of the story....

1530: 7th and last round. Me against Chen Le. OMG. I just realised that if i lose this game I will not get champion. ARGH!!! it's hard to get champion man. Must win all ur games. Sigh. Well, the game started off quite ok but in mid game I thought he was leading by a bit. So, when he came into my land, I decided to cut him off and try to kill him inside. Thus began a long fight and in the end, due to time I made a big mistake to let him live. Thus, I resigned. Sigh... He did make his mistakes too though and I must say that it was retribution. I won Chuah tyco-ly and Chen Le won me tyco-ly. In the end Chen Le got 1st, some random person 2nd, me 3rd and Qi Xu 4th. Chuah lost his final game to the 2nd position too and got an an wei jiang. there were 11 an wei jiang and Ernest got one of those too. well, I believe that I deserve a 3rd placing although I must say had I been more careful or had more time, I could have got first. Thus my nick...

lalala. hello. i shld be slping. so y am i here? cuz i need to slp. hahaha. a short post b4 slping den. today was brilliant. hahaha. tyty. hahaha.

started the day off by waking up at 10? or rather 1030. went online 4 a while n played minesweeper with jt. HAHA. lol. or rather jt's bro? Lol. here was how it went.

1st match: JT loses by around... 26-18? hahaha. onli until after the match did i realise i wasnt playing against jt but against her bro. LOL. (i was wondering why she improved so quickly. LOL.

2nd match: B4 the match, JT says that she was gonna play this one. ahahaha. so, yup. i won this one by 26-23. LOL. (i was again wondering y she had improved so quickly) the answer was not far away. Lol. she had merely become the clicker for her bro. ><. dots. ...............

Lol. ok. so went out at 12. reached whompoa CC at around 115.

ok. and i'll continue with the whole analysis of the competition when i finish it tml. need to slp now. got to wake up at 745 tml. SIAN. lol. ok. bye.

argh. very long never blog. too busy...

Sighsigh. im getting real slack. i havent started on any of my goals except a bit for weiqi, reading books, math and piano. can't be bothered to fish out chinese to do. argh!!! ok. so things that happened over these few days.

Class outing was rather ok i guess. Not many ppl came, onli around 18, but that was kind of expected. I...

Nothing much to say la. Basically, it was just an outing where all of us gathered (that's y it's called a class gathering ><). Sigh. Ben Wee was his normal self, tricking me into holding his EXTREMELY COLD sasi float for 15 mins b4 i realised that i was tricked. ><. argh!!! haha. Went to toys-r-us with Jaryl, Ben Wee and Ke Jing. haha. Ben Wee and Ke Jing were very humourous taking light sabers, random cranes which could pick up items and even more random styrofoam sword like substances to fight against each other. LOL. hahaha.

The roof-top garden was really nice. I loved the wading pool. wah. it's such a nice idea to have a wading pool at the top of a shopping mall where u can relax with ur friends or family after shopping. It was a really touching scene. The sun was about to set. Random people were there at the pool either at the side with their feet in the water talking to each other, in the pool splashing water, adults supporting their children in the water. WAH... hahaha. It was a really nice scene. One thing puzzled me though. There was a black man hanging on a inverted u shape thing (a bit like doing pull-ups) at the side of the pool. It was rather a shock seeing such a RANDOM thing. hahaha. ok. But vivocity was random. The world was random. The universe was random. Ok. I am officially crapping so let's move on.

The bad thing about vivocity is the poor food. ARGH!!! I feel cheated of my money. One plate of vegetable in oyster sauce (or at least that's wat they said. It tasted more like random water with soya sauce.) for $3.00 AHHH!!! NO!!! MY MONEY... lol. ok.

Goal 1.1 - Learn the timp =) (tuning)
Goal 1.2 - Learn drumset or at least snare drum (which ive tried b4 but failed on numerous occasions) (how to roll on snare)
Goal 1.3 - Play SYF pieces properly.
Goal 1.4 - Become an expert in the triangle. LOL. and probably get a really good one. dont wanna be stuck with that rusted one for another 1/2 a year... =X
Goal 1.5 - Use BL's style of learning how to roll (wah. must be very patient sia...) (20-30 mins a day while watching tv. =))
Goal 1.6 - Learn some random instuments like tambourine or western cymbals

Goal 2.1 - Achieve a 1d rank by december and maybe a 2d rank by january... =)
Goal 2.2 - Learn some new ding shi (3 a day).
Goal 2.3 - Do some si huo ti (maybe 10 per day)... =X Boring...
Goal 2.4 - Play at least one game a day or when busy, 1 game in 2 days

Goal 3.1 - Learn windows movie maker from Jaryl. =) (By end of hols)

hello! wenyun is back again and heres a little post on RICO CONCERT!! haha. maybe not that little but haha, RICO CONCERT was VERY VERY NICE!! XDXD haha. wenyun sounds so crazy but really, i think the $10 damn worth lah. for the benefit of amelia dear who refused the choice of a wonderous concert, shall post a little descriptor for each song. (:

# Feng Nian Ji
uhh. feng nian ji is rico's last year syf song so no need to say much. (: xylophone was too loud but overall it was pretty nice. NICER than our yuzhou lorh. hmphhhh. bl keeps rocking around with his sticks. just realised they dont use a diao cha. *starstruck look* SO COOL RIGHT! haha. timpani the guy [i.e. thomas] was DAMN GOOD AND DAMN COOL. and then got DAJI PARTS!! XDXD patrick so poor thing. hahaha. the xylophone get shunted to the side. tsktsk. so sad right.

# Taiwan Zhui Xiang Qu
haha. not much impression of this one. never mind. shall listen to it now. ((: this song the DAJI PARTS are all chao nice XD

haha. the song is darn slow mannn. yingting reckons so that the nice little students won't make mistakes. AHAHHAA. lu bian de ye hua bu yao cai... haha. not much impression also lah. not like it was very impressive or stuff.

ahaha. liuqin duet! yifang should have come to see this yeah! haha. the two guys were PRETTY COOL MAN. ^^ hahaha. their liuqin skills pro leh XD wenyun is so jealousssss. rarh. rambling. haha. chun dao yi he was nice lah.

shall not talk much about this. you know its a VERY VERY GOOD LULLABY XD uhhuh. the piano guy was good lah. haha. bl said it was expected that people fall asleep during the diyin songs lah. and one fine example is JANICE!

haha. you know what. i nearly fainted when i heard this song lah. can go sleep le lorh. omggggg. its SO COMMON. and yes. a VERY VERY GOOD LULLABY. piano guy was good too ((: haha. no wonder he's from piano ensemble lorh. janice must faster admit her faults!! XDXD

uhh. not that im biased against xianyue or what but it really was like URGH. communist song lah like lol. haha. but yeah.

uhh. dizi guy was VERY GOOD! haha. imagine you stand there with this bamboo thingy and play there without a score..?! like lol. but still, not much impression.

# Shan Dan Dan Hua Kai Hong Yan Yan
haha. guzheng solo. yeah. the guy was a lil girlish. as the impression given. haha. but he's REALLY SKILFUL man. better than rgco one. which makes me think whether rgco concert was actually worth. mmhmm.

# Huan Xin 2005
ehh. hahaha. i heard this dunno how many times so ((: uhh. VERY NICE lah. haha. i sound like im advertising lorh.

# Long
ahaha. no impression again. but i like the DAJI PARTS.

# Dong Hai Yu Ge
VERY NICEEE!! indescribable. and saves me the time of typing. XD lots of daji parts too so YAY.

# encore - MATSURI
omggg. MATSURI!!!!!!! DARN NICE MANNNNN! we must must must have this for RGCO CONCERT 2007!! the daji people were so damn nice man. bl was like so nice on drumset but the snare part wasnt exactly clear. haha. but the parts were really nice. patrick is so rough with his drum. actly should use taiko drum but im pretty sure either patrick would knock it down or the drum would knock him down lah. XD

overall rico concert was nice XD haha. actly comparing with rgco, i think their co is much much better. SO WE MUST ASPIRE AND WORK HARD OKAY! then can get our darling gold with honours.

Most impt section: Percussion (obviously... haha... jkjk...)
Leader: Tze Ern. haha.

Hm. Let's go in chronological order, shall we?

1. Reaching school
It felt weird wearing long pants and black shoes on the bus. There were a couple of stares from a few of the people on the bus, but other than that, I reached RJCO room on time (in fact 3 mins early according to the clock in RJCO room)...

2. Last practice
The last practice we had was a rather ok one. We didn't sound at our best, but it was rather good. No major screw-ups, I feel... haha. Yar, so we went through all the pieces once b4 we went to eat.

3. Lunch
We ate.

4. Packing up instruments
OMG. That was indeed tiring. Tze Ern gave me the job to check whether all the instruments were qi2. wah. never knew it was so hard man. That was especially the case when instruments were moving (or rather moved) while I was checking. In the end, it was all ready and we boarded the bus. =)

5. Downloading of instruments
OMG. Once again, I was given the task of making sure that every instrument was intact. ARGH! The place was so small and messy and it took so long to check all the items in my checklist. Sian. Then, had to clean the xylo cuz it was wet (rain...). Yup.

6. Rehearsal in SCH
that went rather ok as well. i only forgot to repeat for huan xin section A. OOPS. Den, I dao-ed the conductor by starting even before he had raised his baton. LOL. hahaha. As Thomas said before, there was this trumpet soloist who hated the conductor. The conductor raised his baton for the guy to start. However, the trumpet soloist only raised his trumpet. He did not start. The conductor tried again and again but the trumpet soloist still did not start. The conductor was so embarrassed that he went off stage. The trumpet soloist started once the conductor had left the stage. The audience were laughing their heads off. HAHA. Well, it was rather the same situation except that I don't hate the conductor and it was an accident and not done purposefully. Lol. Other that that, it was rather ok. Oh yes, and the conductor asked me to play softer for feng nian ji and for percussion to play softer for dong hai.

Tze Ern's blazer goes missing and is found behind Thomas's bag in the practice room by me. =)

Nothing much. Just a box of rice with vegetable and chicken. Lol. Had dinner with THE LEADER.

Oh yes. We discussed during the boring part of the song (no percussion) that we would play as loud as we could, so yar... and BL used his thick sticks... HAHA. and Tze Ern and Yin Kwan wore ear-plugs. So Tze Ern was SO LOUD. and ding ying luo was ear-deafeaning and BL's dagu was so loud that my hands were trembling when I pressed on the drum. =( haha. and xiao bo was at it's loudest too. =)

Oops. No offence Lionel. Lol. And Dagu was LOUD, cuz Patrick used BL's thick sticks. And drumset was rather nice too. =)

11: Packing up
NO!!! Concert over... So fast... ARGH!!! I miss it. Lol. Some interesting facts about the concert...

1. Someone shouted "Patrick" at the start... (should be lionel...)
2. Many people shouted "Boyi" when he conducted...
3. Some girls shouted "Angus, we love you"... LOL.
4. Headmaster said "Will that boy break the drum" (referring to BL during dong hai)
5. Headmaster praised percussion for really enjoying what they were playing
6. Headmaster said percussion played too loudly for dong hai. HAHA. Oops... Lol.
7. 714 went for concert.
8. 800 tics were sold. (that's almost full i think)
9. Erhu rushed for dong hai
10. Many people loved matsuri. (eg. Jaryl, Mr. Chong + many more)
11. Dong Hai was also well received
12. Lionel, our former SL, came for the concert

Well, it was a really nice concert, honestly. Everyone gave positive comments. Except for the erhu ensemble which was not that well received, the others were great, especially dong hai and matsuri. WOW. and sec 1 piece wasn't that screwed-up either. YAY. hahaha. although it was rather embarrasing to be on stage for a sec 1 piece. =(

Well, think that's all. beginning a new chapter on friday when we receive news about the new set piece and choice piece for SYF. It's gonna be boring but we MUST get gold with honours dont we? and next year, we will be having at least 2 concerts to celebrate our 20th anniversary, so it's gonna be more fun again. YAY. lol.

Hm. i stopped at class interaction rite? well, it was quite an emotional one...

First, there was the giving out of APR where I lost out to Rich, Edward and yj... Sian. Im last of the 4 again... NO!!! edward won this time with a 3.94... rich 2nd with 3.93 (no 3rd lang) and yj had a 3.89... AH!!! NO!!! sighsighsigh...

Den, there was the final speeches made by Mrs Neoh and Mr Chow... yar... so that's that... next point...

Last sec 2 year-head meeting...

It was a rather emotional one as well as it was the last time Mrs Lim was going to be our year-head. Overall, I think she has been brilliant. haha. well, Mrs. Ong will be taking over so let's hope she does as well, if not better =)... haha. wish her all the best. well, back to the point, we had a short video clip about empathy and respect and a batch video clip. haha. quite funny la. den, after that, Mrs. Lim made her final speech b4 some sec 2 students from 2D performed a song titled "now we're sec 3" which is basically a "when i'm 64" with changed lyrics. It sounded real nice esp. the drum set. ke yi cheng wei wo de tu di ah... HAHA. okok. that's ego.

next point CO prac. hahaha. well, co prac these few days have been the 6 songs we're gonna perform + the encore piece we are going to perform which im not revealing... =P... so, yar, it's quite ok la.

Feng Nian Ji - The only problem is the start of the chorus la. that part a bit tuo jie. the others are quite all right.

Taiwan - Nothing much except for the front part for glock. always seem to miss the notes or start too early. AHH!!! but the others are all right i guess.

Sec 1 piece - HAHA. who cares man. yesterday i didnt bring scores and played anything i felt was right and the conductor said nothing. haha. den today i played it correctly for the first time. HAHA. (that's because it's onli my 3rd time playing. i onli got the scores on mon.) yar so, i guess it's going to be all right.

Long - WAH. easy like hell. no need to say anything. =)

Huan Xin - Hm. quite ok la. nothing much as well.

Dong Hai - Yay. can make the er hu ppl deaf. >< Lol. more like bl make me deaf man...

Haha. yar so that's that...

Den the blazers. NO!!! DUMB BLAZERS!!! I HATE BLAZERS!!! made me stay in schl to 10pm lah. walao. juz because we had the wrong no. for total no. of performers and that 7-8 ppl did not register with bi ran or me b4 taking the blazer. DAMN LAH. hahahaha.. but actually it was quite fun la. Heehee. staying in RJC till 10pm does not happen everyday. yar and we had boyi's MP3 to play with didnt we?? HAHA. I was there with Edmund and Biran and i have to thank them man. Haha. Neither are q-masters but they both helped out. esp. Biran many thanks. hahaha. hahaha. so ya... it took us like 3-4 hrs just to find the missing blazers and figure out ways to find blazers for the ppl without blazers. Well, we have figured it out now and we hope it works. =)

Last point, preparation for concert. Hm. yar. I'm rather prepared. Scores ready. Songs quite all right. Sticks prepared. Yup, mindset right. Left with that day itself liao... I'm just afraid that i'll freak out on that day cuz it's my first 2 hr concert. AHH!!! hahaha. sian. I'm going to die of fear. Lol. ok. yar, nothing much la, so BYE...

ARGH!!! walao. 2 79, 1 78 and 1 76... darn it. den my 4.0 so high also still 4.0... sian. haix.... why cant i transfer some math marks to my other subjects?? AHH!!! ok. nvm. expected anyway. it's quite a big drop from my sem1's 3.87 but still ok lah. i expected to do worse for my bio since i suck at it but i still got a 90% for CT!!! top in class... i dont mind my low CA score for science cuz that does not really reflect my true ability. Den, math yay... 97... WOW... haha. nice CA score too... bad thing is i didnt manage to maintain the 100% for CT i got in the last 3 CTs inclusive of sec 1... got a 98 this time. but that's ok. no one is perfect. haha.

Geog was a major dissapointment though. a drop from 84 to 78 was not expected. I still dont get where i went wrong. In the june hols, i thought it over and decided i would spend most time on my humanities. In the end, i got the worst results for them... SIAN... den history i screwed up the rajaratnam project and that was it. I worked as hard as i could for the essay and the CTs but i still could not maintain my 4.0, missing out by a mere point. SIAN. stupid rajaratnam project. it had a weightage of 70% of CA lah. 26.5/40 was just too low and it costed my a 4.0... For geog, i had many chances to pull up my grades, the most obvious of them my CT... But i screwed it up. probably because i slept late b4 the CT and i made so many careless mistakes. Had i got a 28/30 which i think i could have got, i would have another 4.0. However, it was not to be.

Chinese - Sian lah. dont talk about it. It's still 79... AHH!!! last sem i missed out by a point. this sem i still miss by a point. mebbe my CT was a bit too low. but, nvm. 79 was still above expectations.

English was the best. Even better than my math and sci. I cannot describe the joy and sense of achievement of achieveing a 4.0 for sem 2. It's just marvelous. I worked very hard for english this sem even though i knew it was impossible to pull my sem 1's 70 back to a 4.0... 70 was just too low... So i worked hard and scored very well. 11, 12, 13, 13/15 for journals... 20/20 for ERP... 18/20 for oral... WOW... den my CT was a 40/50 which i believe is in the top 5 in 2H... And i was one of the 4 who got a sem 2 4.0 in my class. YAY!!! haha. finally im topping in english too... haha. well, so that's that...

Haiya... have to go for weiqi now. come back den write about the other 5 points... BYE...
