hmm... just thot i would blog for a while...

1. AMC
AMC was a total screw up as i got 97.5... RARH! oh my gosh... never get 100... what made matters worse was my wrong decision of answering 3 more questions on top of the 13 i knew i had gotten correct, in which i needed 2 or more correct to get 100. if i had answered 1, i would only need to get that 1 correct. SIGH! and some more the mistakes in calculations were rather careless, probably due to the dumb stomach ache. haix. my 100 mark!

2. Sleep

THURSDAY

finally, thursday's here...

got back 2 papers today. both are a little below average but still acceptable (average as in my expected mark)... chinese cct 41.5. quite ok given the toughness of the test but thot i could get at least 43 if i were more observant in my zong he tian kong. bio prac was 17/23 which was ok... not a 4.0 but still acceptable.

hmm... so 2 acceptable marks.

today was eng erp and hist test. eng erp was ok given that we were the first group to present. Ms. Tang commented that our group's angle was rather good and Yingxiang's analysis was good as well. of course, we were owned by the imba Vincent who totally owned in his presentation but i guess it's ok given our standards. (: we worked hard so no regrets. history cct was ok. just hope i dont go out of point. rarhhhh... >< for both history and ss, it should be all right if i dont go out of point. sigh...

yeah. then, next was DAQIAO MENTORING which was totally fun! haha. went there early and played a bit of basketball (: haha. it's so fun to play basketball with the guys there. (: or catching. lol. next, went up to revise with them for their test. it was quite hard cuz i had to teach this guy who was quite unwilling to study. but i tried my best and though we didn't achieve much, i guess i could have done much worse. that guy got injured 3 times that day, and he cried each time he injured himself. hmm, guess he has much to learn... he's still P4 so there's still much time. just spent time sitting down with him at the balcony (they have a balcony like place outside their classroom) and at the big basketball court (with lots of hoops) and chatted with him. played a bit of basketball and stuff with them again. haha. very fun. (: but of course luwei owned us. sigh... but overall very fun and rewarding. i guess i have to earn the respect of them first and i think i earned one today, that is the guy i taught. he started to listen to me and wasn't so naughty as compared to the start and he even asked me to go up to his house. didn't do so in the end as his mother came to fetch him. hmm... haha. the guys there are very fun people luh... much to learn from them just like how much they've got to learn. i guess that's why they call it service-learning...

today was bio test and AMC. didnt get to present SS today...

bio test was ok. did average for it. should be able to get above 32 but whether it's a high 4.0 remains to be seen...

RE was ok also. went over to SP, saw the lab and the stuff in there. omg. the place is so much more clean and less messy than IBN. haha. but i guess IBN has much more sophiscated instruments...

next, AMC was totally screwed up. had a really bad tummy ache and was trying to resist the temptation of going to the toilet. Did the first 10 qns relatively fast (although big possibility of errors) cuz it was rather easy so not that much thinking needed... but then, as i reached the 11th question, i realised i couldn't stand it anymore and went to the toilet, wasting nearly 10 mins of my time. in the end, when i went back solved another 3 qns and tikam another 3 before handing in. siann... think this time confirm cannot get into AIME one luh.... last year got in but missed it lol...

tomorrow shall be erp and history cct before a slack period of 3 days! yay!

and of course, week 10 which now consists of:
1. Chem Prac
2. Phy Prac
3. History test
4. SS presentation...

shldn't be as stressful as this week though. (:

today was rather slack...

Prefect's Investiture was ok, not as good as last year but still ok i guess. AV screw ups were normal but other stuff went ok. haha saw ying jie, barry and nigel dance. and cheered rather loud for Xiong Wei and Long. But then, it was incomparable to Tian Yi's. haha.

anyway, i've been watching rico concert video and it brings back so much memories. SIGH... especially reading the post i wrote back then... haix. if only i could share my feelings with the perc members...

i think i screwed up SS test. dont think can get very high for it. SS assignment was ok but i thot all the groups did very well. and i dont know how strict Mr. Wong will mark but no regrets there cuz the group put in quite a lot of effort. Then, the English Comprehension was ok in the sense that there was time but vocab was quite screwed up and some questions too. given it's only 20 marks, don't think i can score too well either. sigh.

But, on the bright side, my Math is doing very very well! haha. Math CCT highest mark was Xiong Wei, 29.5. and i got 28.5. yay. highest mark for cct since start of sec 3. Could have gotten full marks had it not been me putting a positive sign instead of a negative sign but im still glad. could have made much more mistakes but fortunately i spoted them during the test and had time to change them. (:

well, it's time for mugging of BIO! RARH! biooooooo... boohoo...

today was ok...

lessons were ok. nothing much to say except that chinese was fun (as always)...

then, we had sec 1 chess tournament which was rather good cuz 7 people participated this time and we've found 2 quite pro people. so yay. and den i realise that there's a new sec 3 scholar who's damn pro too! looks like we have chance this year again! yayyayyay! played with him twice. he is much proer than me luh. i lost by a lot the first time and was losing by a lot the second time until he made a few careless mistakes and i won! haha yay. but anyway, there's loads of talent in him... yay! riweiqi might be saved!

Was talking about CEC reform and i was talking about how RICO was under reform too, together with perc. think it's time for RIweiqi and chess club as a whole to reform as well! there have been complaints that this popular club has bad admin and stuff... well, im gonna solve this together with kiat hong.

YES! YOUTH OLYMPICS! haha. can't wait man... 2010... really wonder how it'll be like. haha. (: so fun! i wanna watch. yeah yeah yeah... (: in 2010, i would be in J2! haha. hmm... think it would be rather nice. think singapore will do a great job organizing it. though we are the first to organize the youth olymics and we have yet to organize any olympics, singapore definitely has the ability to do a good job! YAY! congrats to SINGAPORE!

Chinese was once again funny with her jokes... lol. jinghui and erdong got suanned. nvm luh everyone also gets suanned by her now and then. and ying xiang asked an imba question. woah.

2. History
History was once again useful as we finished up with the mindmap. gonna discuss causes of French Revolution soon so it should be yet another useful history lesson! (:

3. Physics
For the first time in the whole year, we went to the lab. lol. i thought that the experiment was quite dumb. but nvm cuz it was slack.

4. Free period
lol. lit cct = free period for us! woohoo!

5. Daqiao mentoring!
I went for my first daqiao mentoring session today and it was totally fun! (: went with jerrald (is it spelt correctly? lol...) and guowei. I heard that there were much less students this time as compared to last year when there were 20 over. So it was easier to control the pupils. haha. but it was nice to spend time with them. they were quite friendly and running around with them was very fun! makes me remember of my primary school times. somehow i didnt remember that i played so much sports after school when i was in primary school. i usually went back home straight. but here, loads of people actually stay back to play basketball. There was in fact an inter-house basketball match going on. woah. haha. they are very cute and lively luh. hmm. cant wait for the next time to go there...

hmm. today i have to finish SS and start on Eng. sigh. mugging shall be for a later time...

today was a lovely day.

1. ENG
eng was finally productive (lol). we did erp and i guess we were the most productive group. i think the group is still in disarray so i guess i shall use what 1Q ft advised me when i was a PSL - "lead by example". haha. so yeah. today shall do ENGLISH.

2. SS
SS is to be handed in on friday which means much chionging. shall chiong today! i wanna do a good job!

3. CHINESE
chinese was as usual totally funny. we learnt something i dont think we should learn but whatever luh cuz it was damn funny... den shu kiat said something which made me couldnt stop laughing... lol... anyway chinese lessons are becoming damn damn fun!

4. history
Today I had the best history lesson i ever had in 4 years. Even better than Mrs. Neoh's imba lessons. my gosh. the mindmap Mrs. Matthews drew was totally imba. If we could do that for every lesson, i think we all can get 4.0s even if the marking is strict... it was totally fun and interesting... entertaining... much more productive than the video lessons.

5. SP
went to SP. haha. had some fun joking with ying jie, aaron and nigel. joked about chinese CCT and stuff like which pen can fly and i said the chicken crossed the road joke. haha. DAMN FUNNY! lol... and i love the way Mr. Jin Kai writes and talks. the kind of 沉着. i was just lying on the table in front of him looking at him write cuz it made me feel very calm unlike the swift lifestyle of RI where we are always rushing to go somewhere or to do something...

6. Lame thing with Ying Jie
Today went around the school with Ying Jie to do completely LAME stuff which I can't tell. but i can tell u it's even lamer than running around the school and timing how long it takes... >< haha. but it was fun luh...

7. PSGM
went for PSGM late cuz of RE but still talked a lot. really hope that 1Q will have a strong class spirit. (: but anyway, the cheering at the end was nice!

8. CO
prac-ed 青年进行曲 again. haha. i can't believe it. we can actually do it. I'm going to ask Ms. Lim for some time during dazu for me to conduct. I know it seems dumb cuz I'm musically dumb and I'm going to concentrate on percussion but it's the only way I can connect percussion back to the orchestra... hope i'll succeed! (: I think I've succeeded to a certain extent to bring percussion together again. really wonder how i did it. maybe cuz the people in perc are very nice. maybe cuz there's Liwei. Maybe Shu Jian played a big role. Maybe Boyi was right after all. I needn't worry. It was going to be okay after all. (:

i realise i havent been blogging lately...
not sure why, maybe cuz i've been rather sick lately, i always feel tired after school. i sleep much earlier than what i usually did last year. Last year, sleeping at 1130 was nothing much... but now im sleepy at 10 liao... SIAN. that means much less time to revise stuff. But I guess I'm still doing well in school. I have yet to screw anything too badly. so that's well done to me! (:

hmm... let's write about recent times...

1. CO!
Sat went for CO prac. RGdaji was there to return scores and help us out for march 1st concert but in the end they were doing homework cuz we didnt practice the hard songs... >< im really wondering how we can ever perform 1.5 hrs on 1/3 given our current standards... MORE DAZU IS NEEDED! tomorrow is prac again so hmm... problem is rjdaji's using the room for dazu. need to find another place! sighhhh... shall try to suggest to renyan. if we can practice in a squash court, i dont see why we cant practice somewhere else...

skipped weiqi and jiang cuz was rather sick...

2. ERP
sun was doing of ERP project at Kenneth's place. His house is really cool! he just renovated it and there are actually cushioned benches near the windows which i completely love! RARH! and of course, the toilets but nvm... Renovation is indeed tortorous cuz my neighbours are renovating currently and i can't stand the noise... SIGH!

hmm... anyway ERP was ok. Did an average amount of work... not as much as last time cuz maybe this time ying xiang's apple com proved to be a distration... need to ask ying xiang for his pics mannn... lol. but the main idea is there liao bah. i always think that the outline of the project, the logical flow of stuff... Once it's there, the others is just sai kang. (: and of course creativity! (: i want to train my leadership, creativity, innovation and i guess much more... but all these should turn useful in the future...

3. Random
I'm proud to smile! (((: Cui Cheng said the other day that I looked weird performing with my smile and Leonard said that it was hard to imagine a Patrick who didn't smile! YEAH! haha. so happy! hmm... im not sure but i dont smile that often at home or when alone i think... friends just make me smile i guess... haha.

4. CCT
today's chi cct was totally crap. 60 marks in 45 mins. I and many others wrote the summary in 5 mins! >< but i guess i won't do toooo badly cuz everyone faced problems. Even the china scholars were cursing the paper. haha.

5. Assembly
Today's assembly was OIP. Cytam and Eugene presented for ChangChun. haha. it completely brought me back to the "good old times". the REALLY REALLY FUN times we all had together in changchun. i can still remember the walk to the museum, the karoke performance, the lessons we taught... woah. it made me want to go for oip this year. So sad we went last year. This year there's Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Korea and UAE added. haha. rather weird but completely fun. if only i could go for oip every year... if possible, (though i don't think it is), i want to go to taiwan again! or maybe korea! or dubai! haha... AND the air costs this time are subsidized not by $200 but by 50% which means we only pay $500. wth. I WANT TO GO!!!! this reminds me of taiwan. The $300 was sooooo worth it. RARH. ChangChun was a bit more expensive but it was also longer and i experienced SNOW! haha. and much more. haix. just hope i can go!

6. YES! 93.3
Yes 93.3 is a totally rocking radio station. I'm completely addicted to it now. I listen to it while going to school, while coming home, while I'm doing my homework, while I'm blogging right now. haha. The DJs' voice are nice, a lot of songs they play are also my favourites and they introduce many nice songs to me. Then, the jokes they say, even the ads are funny. remember - "学会podcast，你肯定比羊来得强"! or "harm jim beng"! haha. funny!!!! sigh. and the things they say before programmes. like the traffic one is "不管你是一辆飞快的跑车，还是一辆普通的脚踏车，遇到交通阻塞，你就是不能动的车". haha. and a lot more luh... just can't remember. haha. so start listening! here's the web:

Physics lessons are starting to become a bit irritating. think i'm not suited to ms. kek's teaching style. but i still get the stuff through some self-studying i guess... luckily it's not for chem cuz that would spell trouble to me. At least my physics is still rather ok. I'm one of the 3 on 10 marks for quiz 1. (: yay!

8. random
I'm drunk. ok. i mean I'm drinking green tea.

9. math
hmm. math is going rather well for me! (: yay! i understand the concepts and my test results are rather good (till now). trigo is getting hard so i guess it will take practice and some revision but that's not going to be anytime now cuz there's no big test for math coming up. the thing coming up is AMC. unfortunately, it's on the day of bio test, which practically means no mugging time for AMC. unlike last year in which i did 2-3 AMC papers, I'm going to go there totally unprepared this time. woah. last year i got 108. wonder how much i'll get this year. haha.

10. others
Bio is going fine. stable. after much mugging that is. but haven't started memorizing yet so i guess i need to start soon. history is totally screwed up for me cuz i haven't read the notes yet. read 1 yesterday, going to continue today. Shall try to complete all bah and start coming up with concept maps. Chem is ok just that i haven't memorised all the anion, cation and gas tests which are tested in week 10 which means more mugging on week 9 weekend. (: ENG and CHI are ok i guess...

11. Piano
Completely love the piano.

start of the DEATH WEEKS.

woah. it's the start of the DEATH WEEKS again!

starting from last thursday with chem oba which was quite well done except for a careless mistake in maybe copper (2) sulphate and the bonus question...

Last friday was bio.... it was ok luh. quite easy so i guess quite well done also. shldn't fare too bad.

Today was math cct. I think i did quite ok bah. no hope for full marks but hoping for a 26 or 27...

coming up later this week is tomorrow's chi cct and thursday's history test...

Before week 9, which is the REAL DEATH WEEK...

and of course ending with week 10 monday's chem prac (which i guess is quite slack)...

but this means much mugging to be done. haha...

I hope i can do well in it just like i've done so well for the previous 2 TAs. After that, there will be chinese cct which will be quite impromptu cuz there's nothing to mug... hist test is coming up too so i guess after math test, i'll need to mug for history. After that, mugging for SS. RARH. and finishing up SS project. haix. it's getting hectic. AND, there's zuowen to do. SIGH.

k nvm. just do well for bio prac tml...

haven't been blogging for quite a while... Hmm...

chinese new year has just passed, so i guess it's time for some new year resolutions again. lol.

mm... just read Mingjun and Yetao's imba compos. I think the China scholars are damn pro.

hmm.. anyway, for this year... would like to achieve the following...

lol.. it's the same stuff luh. anyway, chinese new year was quite fun.

Cultural night was nice as usual, just that it was a bit short cuz we left early. anyway, my composition did get quite a positive feedback. yay! haha. hmm. music totally rocks i guess.

Then, went to friend's house to play on the 2nd day. haha. stayed there for the whole day. playing mahjong, Wii and dogs... lol. fun!

Then, Mrs. Gan's house... erm nothing much there just that the food was nice. haha.

quite a short new year for me. but anyway, went to visit Sam's hostel and studio the other day. Oh my gosh. I just can't wait for university life. The kind of projects they do remind me of the times in Taiwan. It's what I like to call fun hardship. or maybe tiredness that one actually enjoys. I guess that's what friends give to you. that's why i love doing projects. (: hostel life seems rather interesting too. not sure whether i'll get to live in a hostel. might want to try! haha. can get a friend and try? hmm... anyway, architecture seems so fun too! haha i just love subjects which require no mugging at all, more of logic and creativity! YAY! that's why i like drawing.

I like to walk randomly into the popular bookstore and look at stuff with no aims whatsoever. I like to think "what can i do with this thing if i bought it?". That's how I've become a little more creative this past year i think and that's also why my drawing and handwriting is actually getting better unlike in the past where it was totally horrid.

Hmm... i've been asked a few times what i'd like to do in the future. I haven't thought of the main job but i'd love to consider architecture although i know my drawing sucks...

but i'd love to do some things as hobbies!
1. I'd love to continue with weiqi! just love it! i've been told during the chinese new year that i used to beg my family to play board games with me, starting from easy ones like jumping aeroplanes to better ones like xiang4 qi2. haha. no wonder i love weiqi too.
2. I'd love to continue with music as my hobby too! mike's doing street-singing and sam's composing lots of piano songs and musicals. Hmm. hope to be able to be something like them. would really really love to finally pick up guitar. haha. (:
3. I'd love to start drawing and continue going for CO. and maybe writing essays too! guess these are things i enjoy doing...

anyway, many things have been happening recently...

psgms, co performances, co pracs... they've all been enjoyable...

hmm. that's all bah. still think china scholars are pro.

The past few days.

The past few days have been ok.

Tuesday was CEC investiture. It was quite fun! haha. KC looked so cool. And anyway, Mark, Jie Liang and I were having a good time among ourselves. Got a few cheers for me (from my class and maybe 1Q) as I went up to get my badge. haha. It was very nice. Everyone was smiling and happy! I even shaked hands with 4A form teacher, Mr. Kwa! haha. YAY! ok lol. Cheered for Mark and KC as well...

Wednesday was CEC training. Quite slack luh. It started with icebreaker games which was quite fun. POLAR BEAR! lol. Then after that, the LT session came along. It was quite ok. Got to draw on paper so quite fun. Then after that, "experienced" CEC were supposed to share their experiences with the others. I was like "ERRRR"... cuz I was one of the "experienced" CEC. haha. ok... cuz i was treasurer second year running... >< ok. anyway, it went on quite well. Trained my public speaking skills and also thinking on the spot. haha. Used the normal technique of sitting in a circle and going round for comments. ok so after that, went to buy party stuff... den came back to prac with tanbo before going to RJCO room to grab scores and go home.

Thursday was the class party (previous post) and SMP meeting. SMP was quite dumb luh. Went there just to discuss the dates and some key words for research. Once again, I'm at a lost with what's happening. I think I just completely suck at bio. HAIX. All the recombinant protein stuff... HAIX. why can't it just be simple. like equations. boohoo... but anyway, doing project in SP which is humongous. lol. the staff rooms are cool too! Hope to take a photo next time.

Friday was busy day. First up, yan jiang! haha. thought I did rather well for something I prepared late at night the day before. I just love my yan jiang! woohoo! went halfway for PE before going to prepare for arts @ the atrium. That was rather screwed up... HAIX. nvm. shan't elaborate. will only make me sad. Hope CNY one will be better. Much better. After school, went to move CO instruments to hall. so dumb. so many people but so little people bother to move. haix. in the end i think danny and i moved the most. We even had to move the xylophone up and down 4 flights of stairs to avoid the rain. Took 20 min to move everything up the flight of stairs from GE room and made 3 trips to and fro hall to carry instruments there... AND, the worst thing was, in the end, we only practiced once through, before having to clear the stage again... ZZZ... ><>< After we finally finished, went off to chess club merit CCA trail. OH MY! haha. so lucky! just when i reached, 1Q reached the chess club section! YAY! haha. met my class again and had some fun with them. They were all wondering why i was so wet... haha. got thrashed by Zhi Xuan in chinese chess. LOL. TYCO! haha. After that, just helped up a bit with chess club and here I'm back at home.

Class party 1 of 2008 has ended for 4B and it was totally FUN. haha. It was the largest-scale class party so far so good job to Jie Liang, Mark and of course me who generated this brilliant idea. (:

So preparation was done on Wed after CEC training (will talk about that later)... Mark, Jie Liang and I went off to NTUC to buy stuff and cakes... AND OF COURSE... the cute pooh bear (again. haha im sorry kenneth...)

So anyway, shall quickly move on to the actual thing. A lot of things were rather impromptu unlike the China people when we were there. But that somehow added to the fun cuz it made the event much more informal. ok. shall move on quickly to the pictures.
