PANT rocks.
Patrick, Aaron, Nigel, Toh Ying Jie that is...
2nd gold and VIP session in 2 years running. that's an amazing achievement. only raedon (is it spelt correctly?) beat us last year with 2 golds and 2 VIP sessions in the same year (WOAH). haha. but not bad. (:
we faced much more problems this year but we still pulled through.
distinction for YSC and gold+VIP for RE congress.
We couldn't ask for more. (:
Our hard work paid off after all. We stumbled a lot on the way. The first presentation was so-so but not too good cuz there were scripts. We thought we were down and out after we screwed up our 2nd one with yingjie and i both forgetting our scripts. But we weren't. Somehow, like how RI people always are, we pulled through in the end.
When it mattered in the YSC finals and RE congress finals, we were in top form. (:
ok. damn i need to study. further reflections shall be left for end of year.
but yeah, we rock. (:

Happy 16th PATRICK!
haven't been blogging for some time. 2 reasons:
1. I've been mugging for EOY
2. I've been spending loads of time in the library... mugging for EOY
sometimes people say that having their birthday during the DMP sucks. well, i certainly don't agree cuz mine totally rocked! (: omg. this birthday was totally the coolest i've ever had. sweet 16. (:
all right, so beforehand, it really didn't seem like anything. everything was kept secret to me and mm yeah i didn't know what was going to happen...
so on that day itself, i had my first DMP period free so i went to exercise with my parents and Mike in the morning >< haha. (: okok. den there was chem lesson where liwei gave me his nice card. den chinese. haha. after lesson, everyone sang happy birthday together and that was very nice (: den presents! omg. this year i got so many presents!!! (((:
1. 4 cards (all of which are very nice)
2. Origami (from kenneth) very well made (: damn nice haha but the words a bit untrue...
3. THE COOL KEYCHAIN WITH "PAT" omg. XD
4. A photo frame from KC
5. A cup from Aaron
6. A NIKE SOCCER BALL from 9 people (((: i can't bear to kick it
7. A DISNEY SOFTTOY HAND FROM AMERICA from yingxiang YAY.
8. A TREAT TO CAFE CARTEL. like omg haha spent $20 >< sorry everyone...
9. LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of happy birthday wishes.
ok. (: so nice right. so anyway, i was actually moaning over the fact that i had to go for an external dmp module on my birthday from 230-530 but in the end i didn't regret it (: the lessons were so fun and i learnt loads from it. hope i can really apply it though. so after that, played a while of tennis ball soccer with eugene, jinghui and others before going to city hall cafe cartel to eat! WOOHOO. nice food. haha. unfortunately i was a little sick. sigh. anyway, after that, jinghui, jun sheng, lumpy, jerald and i went to changi airport to send Ms. Jean Hsieh off to london for her studies. quite weird cuz she was with her dad. hmm. ok nvm at least we sent her off and we went to terminal 3... reached home at 1030? haha.
love everyone who made my birthday so meaningful and wonderful. (: esp. 4B. you all totally rock. (:
shall take photos of my presents when i'm free. i'm currently exhausted over mugging.
anyway, got back my chinese results. 77/100. A1. yay. haha. quite happy with my zuowen. not bad. but marking this type is more lenient so i guess i have to continue working hard to ensure i get my A1 in O-levels...
and den... mm. what else? oh DMP so far has been all right. chem dmp is ok and i heard we're gonna do FPS. HMMM. haha. math group theory has been a little boring but at least i can understand what's going on. and history has been the best haha damn interesting.
hmm. mugging so far has been all right. i'm almost finishing physics. done with 6 topics for bio and 7 for chem although i still need revision cuz i probably forgot some of the things i studied for and PRACTICE zzz. but i'm happy with what i've done so far. mugging in the library works for me somehow haha. less distractions i guess. (:
hope i can do well for eoys and have a happy 2 months of holidays.
i really need sleep though.
k nothing more. bye!

BOO!
ok today was supposed to be not very fun cuz it's a full day but it turned out quite fun in the end.
Chem DMP was fun cuz we could synthesize nanoparticles! YEAH!
den History DMP was fun cuz we had Mr. Wong and his digressions.
Math DMP was fun because there was kenneth and jun sheng beside me...
CLE was fun cuz the speaker was soooo >< haha.
after that, went to aaron's house to rehearse RE. in the end, i managed to:
1. Memorize YJ's part
2. Rehearse through a few times.
but that's not the impt part. the more impt part:
1. ICE CREAM!
2. MOON CAKE ICE CREAM!
3. PEAS WITH WASABI
4. MAGGI MEE...
haha. woah his house is full of GOOD FOOD just like kenneth's. haha and we ended up playing some piano and table tennis. not bad haha not as ownage as aaron vs. yingjie+me cuz nigel's serve is O.O... haha.ok.
wondering what will happen tmr but i'll just mug chem now.
music dmp tmr. HMM... OH AND CHINESE PRESENTATION DAMN.
k bye.

DMP.
trust me. 4am nights are horrible.
im so glad i have first 2 free periods free tomorrow.
k so today was the start of the DMPs again. ok quite slack. chinese was nothing much cuz all we had to do was listen to presentations. after that, math group theory was spent more talking to kenneth, jun sheng and shu jian. ><
nanotechnology was surprisingly quite fun maybe cuz got liwei there for me to suan. (:
after that, went to kenneth's house to mug physics. mm. i can't say i was too productive but i can't say i didn't do anything either cuz i did do some stuff! not bad considering i only slept 2 hours yesterday.
i wanna SLEEP.
but i shall do some physics before i sleep. (:
k bye.

it's mid-sept.
week 1 over.
OMG. I NEED TO MUG.
stupid omg i realize that my physics is deproving. 4.0 shouldn't be a problem but if i want to get a high grade and prove to myself that I am actually better in my physics than my bio, i better start working hard.
Looking at magnetism now feels like looking at my jap vocab or reading my hong lou meng.
ok not so bad haha i still understand just that i'll need time to digest and memorize ZZZ. in fact, understanding isn't so difficult. the difficult part is memorizing which i totally hate.
All right, stop complaining start mugging. zzz.
I CAN DO IT!

dumb day
friday was a totally zzz day.
school was all right. math went rather well, phys prac too.
but after school, jinghui and i had to go off to j8 to print THE CLE POSTER at the photocopying shop near our school.
1pm: Reach photocopying shop. We are no. 15 on the queue and they are on no. 2 now.
1:15: It's no. 10 already because no. 6 to 9 seem to have disappeared for what seems to be lunch.
1:30: It's no. 14's turn and after 30 minutes of standing and watching erdong and ben low play psp for so long, i was itching to get the photocopying over and done with. I enter the shop.
1:40: Still waiting.
1:50: Still waiting.
2:00: STILL WAITING.
omg. and no. 14 took 30 mins to print their poster.
and so in the end, i had to wait for 60 minutes to print a poster which i can print in a minute. that's rather pissing.
and the way they charge the posters are totally weird.
$2 - A3 poster
$0.10 - Every minute you use the com
>< omg. jinghui and i were both charged $2.10 cuz we were fast and efficient. no. 14 would probably be charged $5 (which means that they pay more for using the computer than printing the poster). zzz.
anyway, quite hilarious with jinghui around. he kept going "where's your other-centredness!" loudly in the photocopying shop and i sort of pissed off the photocopying shopkeepers by bringing bubble tea into the shop and placing my file and book and drink on the photocopier. OOPS. lol but was too pissed off then to apologize. zzz stupid.
But after that it was ok. went to eat with jinghui, jun sheng and lumpy before we all went to bishan library to mug (with jerald). i actually managed to complete 2 topics for physics. all right, completing meaning reading through and understanding but not memorized yet zzz.
Mugging is totally boring. I can't wait to get EOYs over and done with.
Today was SMP prize presentation. Quite boring except going up to receive our distinction award and getting a chance to wear a blazer (zzz). OK. not much. got free reception (YEAH!). in the end, we ended up crapping around at our booth for an hour or so before going off to causeway point where we all went to PIZZA HUT. my wallet feels empty now sigh.
went for jiang 2:30-4:00 class and became totally O.O.
ONE: the whole class is girls (luckily i went with aaron and nigel if not it would be ultra weird)
TWO: the width of the classroom is almost as narrow as the corridor any HDB flat. it is in fact only JUST enough to fit 3 tables in the width. I eventually concluded that this wasn't a classroom but was instead a storeroom. In fact, they couldn't have turning doors cuz of the width so that classroom had sliding doors. >< and there's obviously no OHP, no projector screen and a really small whiteboard.
all right, so much for the O.O. zzz. i really come to appreciate my sat 8-930 class which is full of entertainment value.
weiqi was fun (:
I need to mug physics and chem by tomorrow and start on practicing. zzz. sleep totally rocks my world.
wth. manu just lost to liverpool. >< i can't believe it. manu without ronaldo is like 4B without me. oh oops i totally didn't say that.
haha 4B's great!

mm.
woohoo.
got back bio marks today.
BIO QUIZ: 17/22 (just below 4.0)
BIO CCT: 35/35.
woohoo. 2nd full marks for bio cct. (: haha but damn sian luh im losing to JUN SHENG IN BIO?? haha. ok nvm bio rep. but not bad luh, as always compare with yourself not with others...
MSN isn't working for some reason. wonder why...
Anyway, tmr will be math SDL presentation. hope we don't screw up. haha. OH AND PHYSICS PRAC. shit. i need yet another crash course on drawing graphs and labelling tables which i keep forgetting after every physics prac...
anyway, i have really no idea how to answer globalization questions. I'm still rather un familiar with this concept zzz.
hmm. i shall study chem today. RARH. i must do it!!
hmm yesterday went with jun sheng, kenneth and jerald to eat lunch at S11 cuz our last period was free. not bad haha quite fun. discuss a lot of stuff from relatives to culture to i don't know what luh... haha.
and tmr is the last day of school before DMP comes. I'm glad I have the same modules as Jun Sheng and Kenneth (except the music external one and chem nanotechnology one). (:
CLE poster. LOL. HMM...
4B'08! woohoo.
can't wait for class chalet to come! (: N LIWEI, ORGANIZE RICOdjy OUTING! haha and treat me to lunch! haha.
18.09.08 is about to come. not really expecting much though. it's sad sometimes to have a birthday soooo close to the exams. ZZZ.
k nvm. shall go mug now. bye.

WOOHOO.
ok got back a few results recently.
History CCT: 20/20
Physics CCT: 21/25
English CCT: 18/25
Math CCT: 24.5/30
Chinese Project: 77/100
Chem PT: 9/14
Chem OBA: 23/23
hmm not bad luh. especially happy with my history. my english was rather ok as well but i'll have to improve my AQ for EOY. Physics was a little disappointing. I really need to get my concepts right for electricity before the EOYs come cuz im still rather messed up with them. Math was ok, could have been better as usual but I guess that's the case in exam conditions. Chem PT was an expected screw up cuz i didn't really put much effort in it (almost everyone got 14/14 ><) haha. chem oba was expected. chinese project was acceptable given the amount of time we put in.
hmm so i guess not bad luh. my CA results remain around the same as PR2. So it'll all depend on my EOYs now. SIGHH.
I need to start MUGGING.
stop slacking, start mugging.
but for now, math self-directed learning comes first. sighhh zzz... damn boring doing script.
all right bye! (:

zzz.
im finally getting organized.
for eoys that is.
haha. i realize that although i've been SOOOOO messy this year, not bothering to file my stuff and only keeping important stuff beside me, i haven't lost much.woohoo. so after today, mugging will be more organized (i hope). RARH.
stupid EOYs. haha. rarhrarhrarh. i really don't know where to start from for mugging. so much to mug. zzz. If only I were in HCI, I would probably have been exempted from at least a few exams... ahh nvm.
haha people commenting that i've been super emo and zi bei these few days. true! haha. stupid pimples keep appearing make me super annoyed. but i guess they'll go away just that they'll take some time.
i feel a little more happy today.
and if you're thinking of what to give me for a birthday present, think no further. just buy a PSP (pink soft pig). LOL. (that's from kenneth)...
ahh what a random post.
And so now, we measure our time left in RI by weeks. Soon it'll be days and soon, it'll be over. wonder how that's going to feel like.
HMM. since this is such a boring post, shall post a video of My heart will go on.
good singing. i would be rich if i could sing as well as her.
but who cares about being rich. i live to have fun. (:
Looking at my birthday present from last year which still sits beside my com. MMMM... haha. the memories.
I guess I shall just reorganize a bit more before going to sleep.
CHINESE PRESENTATION STILL UNDONE! ZZZ.
and to think that today was SUPPOSED to be a productive day cuz i don't have CCA.
fly fly into the sky like a bird that has never flown before.
ok wth was that lol. typing random words...
k BYE!

Michael: Entrepreneur sounds fun. but that sounds ultra general haha. errrr ok nvm.
Jinghui: Yeah it is but i'm fine cuz the height requirement is 162cm and i'm not THAT short.
Wanen: haha i know this comes a little too late but thanks for coming down i heard your screams haha.
Liwei: hmm it's over haha. work on SYF! and yeah invite me to guest perform next year haha.
Wenyun: omg. haha hey pimple foam costs $15 ok. wthhh. oh and thanks for the never-dying flower lol.
Amelia: errrr try losing $15 and see whether you're sad haha. >< but yeah thanks for coming for rico concert. and ok i'll pray more (:
Davin: haha errr i find organic chem quite boring leh.
Zhaolin: haha no problem actually i didn't do much for you all luh. just work hard and do your best for SYF! enjoy your 2nd and last year in RICO haha.
Ben Aw: haha i don't care i wanna perform for rico again!
Kweky: hey thanks for performing us too. and errr sorry can't be bothered to change the tagboard colour. rarh.
Jerald: mm is maltese the type of dog? haha. what's a maltese! zzz.
Kaze: i can disguise myself as a sec 1 haha. and errr. i learn weiqi at singapore weiqi association (SWA).

zzz holidays.
all right... school reopening tmr.
these holidays have been spent in CO concert and RE rehearsals and competitions. This year's RE wasn't really such a success but I guess as Ying Jie said, we tried our best so there's no one and nothing that we can blame...
So it's going to be one week of school, 2.5 weeks of DMP, 1 week of school and EOYs... It seems to be a long way. I have 4 weeks or so to mug everything that I learnt this year. But after all these, I'll be graduating from RI. I wonder what kind of feeling that is. Probably emo.
all right. so elaboration...
monday was spent sleeping.
tuesday was spent at aaron's house. haha. first time at his house. damn nice! >< it's some really cool house... zzz. oh yeah and he has this dog. DAMN CUTE. oh and it completely LOVES me. haha. it hugged my leg whenever i sat down. OMG. so in the end i had to cross my legs to stop it from licking my leg. haha. so funny. but really really really cute. oh he's called furball. nice name. and i thought he was a girl hahaha. aaron proved to me that he wasn't pretty easily though. lol. (: hmm. PICS OF HIS DOG! haha.

looks like some toy dog.

yay cute! (:

i didn't know my socks were sooo fragrant ><

ok. so we did the poster design at aaron's house. not bad for 1 day's worth of work. played a little piano and table tennis as well. FUN! WOOHOO! haha.
wednesday was spent at nigel's house. haha. ended up eating loads and not doing much. his house is pretty nice as well although i prefer aaron's cuz aaron's house is much brighter! but nigel is some super nice guy who treated us to loads of food. ><><><><>< haha. so in the end chou1 jing1. lol. zzz...
errr dental and weiqi and jiang followed. not bad. i think i'm becoming one of the proest in my weiqi class. 4 games, 4 wins. (: haha. but i think it's cuz people are starting to quit. don't think i will quit though! (:
errr jiang went all right.
happy birthday mark!
and good luck RICO!
it's a new term. i wonder why i'm feeling sad.

RICO concert '08
4 years in RICO.
It's come to an end. Throughout these years, there have been ups and downs. There were times when we were scolded by teachers during every practice. There were also times when we were brilliant and regarded as the best section in RICO.
In year 1, it was fantastic. It seemed all to good for me. Everything went my way. I was one of the two people who participated in SYF. I had a brilliant SL in Bing Liang. I was regarded as a sec one with lots of potential. The only low point would be getting the silver for SYF but I knew I had one more chance.
In year 2, it wasn't as great. True enough, there were lots of concerts that year, including myRIad, Voices of the Dragon, Renci Concert televised on TV, RJCO concert... Those were fantastic experiences. But there was the other side of the story with seniors like Darren and Victor being not so nice. It was tough but I continued to drag myself for practices... Percussion was still pro but we were the most notorious as well.
In year 3, it turned better. Tze Ern was a great SL once again and he did his best to train cui cheng and chu ming. But we were no longer as pro. We started scraping through concerts... Luckily, we still performed well with the expertise of Tze Ern, Yin Kwan and Thomas. But I couldn't see how we would be able to cope next year...
And this year was year 4. It started off bad. Every week there were new members coming in, in a bid to save percussion. But that also meant that we couldn't progress fast and we knew we had to. Percussion was now known as the worst section in RICO and we got scolded nearly every week by conductor, Ms. Lim, Chun Yin... I set out a plan to bond this section in the first term and make sure we work well as a section before integrating this section into the orchestra.
There were times when my plans seemed to fail. Sometimes, my juniors would say that dazu is useless which is true for them cuz they didn't have parts to play. But I told myself to be patient. There wasn't much use in asking them to play in dazu if they couldn't even play properly by themselves, even less as a section.
In the end, we did bond as a section and the Lunar New Year Dinner was evidence of this. In no more than 2 months, we had put up a 秦王点兵 performance. It wasn't as great as last year's but I could tell that lots of effort was put in.
In term 2, we seemed to stagnate. We didn't do much except 秦王点兵. I tried to get people to play for dazu but it didn't seem to work. I guess they needed a certain motivation to work towards playing in dazu...
And in term 3, that came. RICO concert '08. Finally, people started turning up for dazu practices and getting involved in it. It started off slow, but by week 5, more and more were coming. It seemed a little too late for us though. 5 weeks to train 10 people with no dazu experience to play in a concert? Luckily, we got the help of Kweky and Mr. Ngoh who came for dazu practices to help us out. We improved tremondously during those few weeks and it seemed like we had a slim chance of pulling through after all.
And so it came. Voices of the Dragon. RICO concert '08.
Liwei, Zheng Hung, Zhaolin, Chu Ming and I met up early to eat lunch before going off to CO room to move instruments. It was going well. In no time, we were on the bus and off to SCH.
Rehearsals were bad though. Everyone seemed to be screwing up. My snare rolls were horrible, everyone wasn't 齐, basically no one was confident of doing well. Everyone was waiting for that stroke of luck to come to bring us through once again.
And den, concert came. If I had to describe the concert, it would be a reflection of this entire year. There were ups but there were also downs. We performed well overall but we weren't confident of ourselves, we didn't trust each other, in fact we didn't even trust ourselves. We were good players individually and sectionally but as an orchestra combined, we just weren't there. And therefore, the ensembles were all rather good but the orchestra pieces weren't as great. They were acceptable but they certainly weren't the standards that we had last year.
But I guess it was understandable. In fact, given how rushed this concert was compared to last year's and how we had to rely much more on ourselves and not so much on alumni and how perc ended up with only 5 weeks to prac 10 people, it was a good shot.
Eventually, everything went well except for the xylophone solo. Everyone wasn't confident and there were screw ups here and there but those weren't really audible and we picked up the baton again quickly. I was wondering even during rehearsals whether I should change a player for the xylo solo but I knew I had to take this risk. It was a calculated one. And although the xylo solo turned out quite bad in the end, I still don't think that my decision backfired. Everyone needs a first chance. I would rather that first chance be in concert rather than in SYF.
But xylo solo aside, it was great. We had lots of fun during rehearsals, talking to each other, playing concentration, truth or dare... Lots of fun. And in fact, I was really impressed by how Zhaolin played so well in guan zhong for xin xian, how Denny managed to play the glock and vibe so well even though he was only given the scores 2 weeks before concert, how Liwei managed to pull off chu sai qu in the end and how Liwei and Jun Lem managed to learn the starting portion of qin wang so quickly... It was a great effort by all of us. We didn't manage to pull it all off in the end but it's all right. It was everyone's first time on stage for a 2 hour concert (except me and lexus). I remember my first time - I played a suspended cymbal for one song. >< so you guys have done a great job all right?
I guess this year was a transition year. I would have wanted my RICO life to end off with a bang but I guess this wasn't the year for it. But I don't mind either. I've had lots of fun with all my juniors and teaching them or rather failing in teaching them. (: Just wish that all of you would take this concert in your stride, take it as a stepping stone, no matter whether you've screwed up really badly or not, and work towards the more important goal of SYF. It will be very difficult. There's still a long way to go. But I believe that you all will be able to do it.
As for myself, I guess I've done averagely well as an SL this year. I knew it wouldn't be easy but at least I did almost everything that I wanted to do. And I've finally learned how to roll a timp averagely well haha although i still suck at tuning it. >< sighhh. Really got to train harder now that I've got more spare time haha. and my snare rolls omg i didn't know i sucked even more than last year. haixxx. ok nvm haha.
Well, as always, I've got to thank lots of people for this concert:
1. Mr. Lim
Thanks for giving me so many chances after disappointing you so many times in failing to get scores ready or getting people to come. I'm sorry that percussion still isn't really good. But yeah thanks so much for giving us hope and chance. We'd work as hard as possible and we'd treasure this chance.
2. Mr. Ngoh
Thanks for all the lessons you've given us. It's been tough for you getting new students every week, teaching a CO with scores all missing and with members not coming regularly. You've been a great teacher for us and I really want to thank you for all that you've done for us.
3. Ms. Lim, Mr. Low
Thanks for all the support that you've given me throughout this year and all the advice. It's been a great experience being SL of percussion and it'll be an experience I'll never forget.
4. Liwei
HEY LIWEI! haha... Thanks for all that you've done for percussion. You've been really enthusiastic, sometimes even more enthusiastic than me. It'd be hard being SL next year, probably even harder than mine this year cuz there's SYF and there's still a lot to be done before we get reach such high standards. But work hard and continue doing what you've been doing so far and we'll do well. Thanks for helping out whenever I need it and it's been really great having you around. I'll never forget the jokes, the trips to the mrt and lots of other stuff! (:
5. Jun Lem
HEY JUNLEM (a.k.a JULIAN)! It's been great having you around too. haha you're really enthusiastic as well! Thanks for all that you've done for this section and covering up for me when I wasn't around for founder's day celebration. Continue working hard and training your jibengong and do well for SYF. You've done well for concert so let's aim to do well for SYF too! You're the first exco member from perc in so many years and it'll be a hard job for you being a librarian as well. But I hope you'll continue to work hard and the rewards will come along soon!
6. Zhaolin
HEYHEY RENZHAOLIN! (: You've been very courageous in taking so many tough parts for concert. It seemed like I was throwing all the hard parts to you but I hope you don't mind. You've worked very hard and done well. Remember that every part is important and that training hard and making sure that you can do it well before going on stage is very important. It's been hard this year because you only had 5 weeks but for SYF, it should be much better. Keep working hard, make sure that you can play everything well, work on everything from rhythm to jibengong and just keep playing perc. I think you have the potential to go far and that's why I gave you so many hard parts. Take the screw-ups during concert as a learning lesson. It will take some time to recover from it but believe in yourself that you can, will and must overcome it. Believe that you are capable of excelling in perc. Believe that you can do it. It takes lots of courage to recover from it but i've seen such courage in you already. Don't let this concert pull you down, take it as a learning lesson and a driving force for you to do well in next year's SYF. Make sure that you won't make the same mistakes cuz I can assure you that the feeling of screwing up in SYF is much worse than that of concert. But anyway, thanks for all that you've done for me and perc this year. Thanks for all the commitment, the jokes and stuff. Your presence has been a great addition to RICOperc! xD
7.Stanley
heySTANLEY ! lol. thanks for all the hard work you've put in this year. I'm really sorry that I couldn't give too many parts for concert to you although you're so pro cuz I guess the sec 3s really need experience for next year. But you've been great and you led the cymbals for qinwangdianbing really well. See you in RJC next year! (:
8. Denny
hey DENNY! haha.STANLEY MANLY DENNY! ok nvm haha. mm wow you're really pro at sight reading omg. haha. thanks for all that you've done for concert. I'm sorry I didn't give you too many of the important parts because once again, the sec 3s need experience. But yeah, I hope that you've enjoyed your year in RICO. You've been great for concert, playing well for a glock and vibe part even though you were only given the scores 2 weeks beforehand! (: that's pro! haha. good job and see you in RJC too!
9. Yonathan
Hey YONATHAN! haha. mm. sorry once again for giving you so little parts for the same reasons again. But yeah you've done really well for cymbals in qinwang and I hope you've enjoyed your year in RICO! see ya in RJC! (:
10. Chuming
Hey Chuming. It's been a hard year for you but thanks for not abandoning CO. Thanks for coming back to perform for us for this concert. You've done well for 3 weeks of practices and although you did screw up for laifoshi, I guess it was all right.
11. Zheng Hung
HEY ZHENG HUNG! mmmm... nice knowing you and having you in perc. you've given perc and extra dimension to it's play and haha you always smile when you play >< haha so that's nice... mm. good luck for next year!
12. Lexus
HEY LEXUS! omg. I think I really owe an apology to you. I'm so sorry that I didn't really "care" about you this year probably because you're really so good that there's nothing much I can teach you. I hope you'll do your part for perc next year. You'll be the best in the section and perc really needs you to teach them well. You've been great for the entire year and concert. Hope you'll strive to work even harder and do well for SYF and make sure that perc does well. Perc will really depend on you next year. Thanks so much and here's wishing you good luck in the future.
13. Stephen
HEY STEPHEN! haha. as the youngest member of RICO, you're rather good! I'm sure that you'll excel far in this section. Continue working hard and practicing hard and the rewards will come along. DO YOUR BEST! (:
14. Kweky
heyhey Kweky! haha. I can't believe that I got to perform with you again. >< This year was a lot different from last year's and well it wasn't as fun cuz we had to manage all the juniors and everything was so rushed out. But I hope there will be another chance! I'm sorry that I still cannot confirm that I'll join RJCO but I'll consider (: Thanks for helping us out again and it's been nice performing with you!
15. RICO
A big thank you goes out to everyone in RICO for their work in this concert from all the comm members to all the stage hands. I've had a great time in RICO and I've forged friendships that I'll never forget. Good luck for SYF '09 and do your seniors proud!
16. SUPPORTERS!
omg. haha even i couldn't believe how many supporters i had. >< thank you everyone very much for coming down to support me. Shall list everyone here!
From 4B'08: Kenneth Yong, Jun Sheng, Eugene, Jerald, Ben Low, Erdong, Ben Yong, Mark, Jie Liang, Tony, KC, Yingxiang, Lumpy, Jinghui, Leonard, Ms. Hsieh. THANKS SO MUCH FOR COMING DOWN! haha concert would be so much less meaningful without you guys! It's so much more meaningful when you know that you're playing music for a bunch of brilliant friends. 4B is just so wonderful. The support we give each other... Thank you so much! I really really really appreciate it. Love 4B! (:
From Jiang: Wanen, Xinyi, Eric, Wenrui. so glad that you all came down to support me! haha. special thanks goes to wanen and xinyi for shouting for me haha. no one calls me "ah ting" except in jiang though. haha. nvm. really really appreciate it...
FromSHANGHAI TRIP: Jun Liang, Yitao, Earnest, Joel. Thanks so much for coming down to support me. I'm sorry I couldn't make time to see you guys hope you all don't mind... hope you all enjoyed the concert! (:
From RGCO: Wenyun, Amelia, Nina, Koh, Tien Li, Xueling. haha thanks for taking time off to come listen to this concert. I know it wasn't really that fantastic but I hope that you all enjoyed it. It's really weird how we got to know each other through such random MOE concert even though I wasn't performing or anything. haha I really wonder why you all are so nice to me sometimes but I guess I shouldn't ask so much. but yeah you all have been great friends. thanks for all the nice notes and presents. thanks for the nice never-dying flower ><, the strepsils and SPECS STRING (or whatever you call it) ><, honey stars, candy which is too big to put into my mouth ><, the M&Ms and haha yeah very nice words. I'm sorry that I didn't have time to thank you all but I'm sure I'll find time to do so. you all have very different personalities as Koh said but somehow you all still manage to 混 together! i find that very very interesting haha. have fun in RGCO next year and i'll see you all 2 years later in RJC. (:
From OTHERS: haha ziming, fiona, esther. thanks for coming for concert! i'll never forget the times we had last year during concert and during rehearsals. All the bridge games we had after practices and stuff. oh and thanks for the blue flower. haha really appreciate it. (:
AND LASTLY, MY FAMILY! thanks for coming down to support me again. Thanks for all that you've done for me over the years. Thanks for all your understanding and forgiveness whenever I've done something wrong. Thanks for giving me the courage to do what I want to do and giving me the time and space to do it. And thanks to Michael for cheering me on during the concert! (: Concert would never be the same without you all.
And so i guess it all has to end here. This concert was definitely not one of the best. It was definitely not one that I wanted to end off my RICO life with. It was all rushed out, not as elaborate as last year and more worry than joy. But we put in all our effort. We worked hard together especially as a section. We rocked the stage with our qinwangdianbing. We did our best. We didn't pull through in the end but we'll stay as a team together. No one is to be blamed for whatever mistakes he has made. We work as a team, we make mistakes as a team and we will succeed in SYF next year again as a team. RICO is all about teamwork and team spirit. We lost some of it a few years back but I can see it coming back again. We did our best and we are proud of Voices of the Dragon 14. We'll come back better and stronger next year in SYF.
But for now, it's a job well done for concert. It has been a fantastic year for me in RICO that I'll never forget. Continue working hard and do me and your seniors proud in next year's SYF. (:
Hope I can come back to perform as an alumni next year haha. (: I'm looking forward to that!
RICO percussion ftw!

Your presence has been a great addition to RICOperc! xD
7.
hey
8. Denny
hey DENNY! haha.
From
From RGCO: Wenyun, Amelia, Nina, Koh, Tien Li, Xueling. haha thanks for taking time off to come listen to this concert.
