Cutie's Kibbleloss: April 2008

it's gonna be MUGGING for 2 weeks, project chionging for a week and a fun week at SIMC. the homework is piling on. but we'll look at it in a few stages:

stage 1: now till week 7 tue: CHEM AND PHY CCT
stage 2: week 7 tue till week 8 thur: CHI PROJECT, ENG PORTFOLIO, CHI CCT, BIO CCT, MATH CHALLENGE
stage 3: week 8 thur till week 9: HISTORY PROJECT, ENG BOOK CLUB, BIO REFLECTIONS, BIO FUTURE PROBLEM SOLVING
stage 4: week 10: SIMC CAMP! YEAH! fun! haha. and of course fun SS documentary.

and who can forget the philo logical thinking essay and english expository and random chinese homework and and and... aiyah. sian luh...

stage 1 should pass rather fast while im gonna dread stage 2. oh my gosh... CHINESE PROJECT! >

the starbucks coffee i drank last sat. it was the first time i ever tasted starbucks coffee and omg, it was soooo bitter. i wonder why so many people like starbucks. but i'll have to learn to like it in the future cuz i realise starbucks is a really good place to study in.

the umbrella i used for that damn rainy day. haha. i reached school only at 750 cuz of that massive jam. traffic light spoil, den car stuck in the middle of 2 lanes with the driver and his wife stranded under a tree surrounded by a pull of muddy water. haha. it was as if they were on an island. oh and the rjc side gate was flooded too. haha...

omg. friday was a fantastic day. totally magnificent, lots of ups and downs. mm chronological order.

1. Birthday Card + Birthday Song
hmm. this was quite ok. the usual stuff done for everyone except maybe dennis and kenneth cuz their birthday is during the hols. haha. so whiteboard was drawn with some "happy birthday jerald" and we gave him a card which i thought totally rocked (cuz i did it) and sang happy birthday. woohoo. UP!

2. Chinese FREE PERIOD
omg. this is the rarest thing ever. some say that this is only the second time she's absent for 14 years. LOL. so we were kind of celebrating. had to do a li jie wen da though. but still, very fun cuz can listen to music while doing. yay. UP!

3. PE accident!
oh. this PE lesson was full of accidents. 1st to Keng Yong whose blister broke, then Leonard who got a long cut on his hand and finally, the most serious, Kenneth. we were all trying out 5 stations when i suddenly heard that something happened to Kenneth. Given that he was our organizer for today's programme, we were rather afraid that all these would go BURST! well, luckily, he wasn't injured that bad. however, he had to be sent to hospitol. We were sensing that this just wasn't our day. DOWN!

4. Failure of Dedication 1
With our wallets brought back to class, no one was in the mood to eat and stuff so we decided to scrape the recess dedication. DOWN AGAIN!

5. Ms. Kek and her present
In order to make up for the failure of the dedications, I decided to make use of recess to find Ms. Kek and Mrs. Low to see whether or not they could do something special. Saw Ms. Kek outside the staff room so I approached her and asked whether she could do anything. She said... ooh ok!... what do you want me to do? den i didn't know what to say so i just said errrrr... do u want to sing? haha. den she immediately said no luh i can't sing. haha. so i suggested that she sabotage Jerald so she said she knew what to do so that was done.

Start of Physics lesson, Ms. Kek says: Today's a special day right? haha... ok quite obvious already. i thought she would start by scolding Jerald. hahahaha... but nvm. it came out quite all right with Jerald having to tell us something we didn't know before he could get some party pack (which i don't know how Ms. Kek got.) hmm... haha. so jerald said: I wore my specs since I was 4. haha. ok........ >< style="color: rgb(0, 204, 204);"> UP!

6. Mr. Ong and his present!
Didn't manage to find Mrs. Low so i turned to Mr. Ong for help. Told him it was Jerald's birthday today so he just said ok i will give him something. haha. soooo nice of him. (: in the end, jerald got chocolate from him. (: UP!

7. Chinese Cultural Camp
last time i participated in it was in sec 1 and hullett won the singing competition and the overall prize. it was a really great experience then. This time, I participated again and it's like coming a full circle. From participating to leading, from being empowered to influencing, or to put it in simple terms, from noob to imba. (:

well, hullett started off quite well, getting 2nd for the chinese quiz and 2nd for the 绕口令. we lost to defending champions, buckley in both categories. Then, in the charades one, Hullett tied first with buckley. So, at that point in time, we were 2nd behind buckley. not bad but could be better. but anyway, there were still 2 parts of the competition to come. the singing competition and the drama competition.

i was supposed to be in the singing competition just like i was in sec 1. in sec 1, the lyrics were written for us and it was damn pro. this time, we had to come up with lyrics ourselves. luckily, with the help of the sec 2s, most of which were pro-er than me in chinese, we managed to come up with a rather funny song. haha. so we thought we were gonna do well in it...

den suddenly, when we went back to LT after preparations, we realised that song composing/singing was for lower sec and drama was for upper sec. omg. so we immediately changed back the people, tried to be relaxed and we started rehearsing outside the LT. so, now, edward, jaryl, chong yu, ben ng and me were in the drama. haha. all former 2H people.

anyway, i was supposed to be an Indian in McDonald's. haha....... ok. damn funny. had some lines to memorize. there wasn't really a script but it was quite logical flow... so quite ok to memorize. anyway, it was supposed to be about a dad (jaryl) who lost his phone because it was with his son (ben ng) and trying to find it. he asked 1. the Indian (me), 2. the gangster (edward) and 3. the prostitute (chong yu. lol.). haha. anyway, it's damn funny. i can only remember my part though. here goes...

Me: Welcome to McDonald's. What would you like to order? (in indian accent)
Jaryl: 你会讲华语吗？
Me: 我会讲华语。请问你要order些什么? (in indian accent again)

Jaryl: 嗯。请问你又看到手机吗？我。。我丢失了我的手机。。。
Me: 哦！我们这里不卖什么手机。可是我们这里买很多东西啊！有mcchicken, 有 mcspicy, 有filet-o-fish。还有mcchicken, mcspicy 和 filet-o-fish.请问你要写什么呢？

Jaryl: 我。。。我不想买什么。我只想要问你有没有看到我的手机！ (emphasize on 机）
Me: 哦!我们这里买很多鸡啊。有鸡翅膀，有鸡腿，有鸡汉堡包。请问你要买什么鸡呢？

Jaryl: 我。。。我不是要买鸡啊。我是问你有没有找到一个。。。一个。。。方块的，有1，2，3，4，5，6，7，8，9，10 的。。。(emphasize 10)
Me: 我们这里有卖10块chicken nugget, 有卖20块chicken nugget, 还有卖30块chicken nugget.你要多少个chicken nugget我们都有啊！请问你要多少个chicken nugget呢？

Jaryl: 哎呀哎呀，不是啊。。我不是要买chicken nugget啊。。。
Me: 那好。我来重复一下你的order.你买了一个filet-o-fish,一个mcchicken,一个mcspicy, 一个可口可乐，还有一个20块的chicken nugget.总计是$49.55.

Jaryl：哎哟。不要了。不要了。我不想要order! (leaves)
Me: 谢谢光临。ba-da-ba-da-ba (in mcdonald's tune),我爱着它~！

haha. damn funny right.... ok let me try to remember edward's one. jaryl walks, bangs into edward.

Edward: (hokkien vulgarity) 怎样想打架啊？
Jaryl: 对不起，对不起，我想问一下。。。你有没有看到我的手机呢？
Edward: 手机？我老爸没有手机啦！

Jaryl: 不是不是。我不是问你你老爸又没有手机。我是问你有没有看到我的手机。。。
Edward: 什么啦。我老妈也没有手机啦。。。

Jaryl: 我不是问你老妈又没有手机啦。。。我是问你有没有看到那个可以打9...9...
Edward: 什么？你想打999？没有啊，没有啊。。。我没有跟你打假。。。我。。。我。。。我先走了。。。拜拜拜拜。。。

lol. haha..... ok. chong yu one i can't really remember chong yu's but it's damnnn 肉麻。。。haha... but we thought we acted rather well. at least i didn't forget my lines... so the results... Hullett 2nd for song writing and 1st for drama!!!! OMG! woah!!! we were so overjoyed when we heard that. HAHAHAHA... damnnnnn nice. yeah. i think the judges chose us as first although ours was quite short and errrrr not really spoken in proper chinese because we were the only group with all singaporeans acting. haha. YAY!!!

i was sooooo happy! i was happy for the song writing one also because i thought we were going to get owned but we got 2nd! YEAH!!!! ownage! (: so in the end, hullett won the challenge shield for chinese cultural camp and i got a $5 book voucher from popular and a notebook! haha. but all this is nothing compared to the experience of being able to act. yay! haha. im so proud. the whole audience was laughing at all the jokes, at every line.. haha. credit goes to jaryl, of course, for his brilliant script. so UP!!!

8. Meeting outside library
went to outside the library to meet shu jian, dennis, jun sheng and vincent. haha. all were mugging. but of course, not much productivity as we were all telling jokes and stuff. haha. damn funny. lame jokes totally rock... hahahahaha.... so that was UP as well!

9. S11
So at 7, we went to the band room to fetch jerald and took him to S11 to meet jamie, hillary, leon and jeremy. haha. OH! and another good news came! KENNETH COULD COME! woohoo! hahahaha. that was a total UP for us after that scare during PE lesson. but then, there was quite a weird atmosphere because there were 2 different groups eating together, so i went over to tell jeremy that he can do something to solve this haha. cuz he was the connecting factor between the 2 groups except of course jerald. haha. at first it wasn't really working out. but after a while, some really funny jeremy action or rather reaction and other's reaction made us all laughing and the weird atmosphere was gone.hahahaha... here goes.

Jeremy: walao. i ate so much rice i want to vomit already luh.
Jamie: you can go elsewhere to vomit.
Jerald: you can look at your reflection to vomit. (takes plate of chicken (with chicken eaten) and puts it near his face).

OIL SPILLS ON JEREMY AND HIS BAG. HAHA.

Jeremy reacts by standing up immediately, pulling his bag up to look how much his bag has been affected by the "oil spillage" and accidentally pushes his chair down, making everyone stare at him (as in others in S11). HAHAHAHA... DAMN FUNNY! den hillary gives jeremy tissue and jeremy stuffs it into the water (or rather chrysanthemum tea) which hillary was drinking and everyone went ewwww... hahahahaha. so errrrr... hillary takes ice and shoots it at jeremy but it misses and hits the shoe of another person at another table. haha. luckily that person didnt realize lol... or it would have been funnier... hahahaha... UPs and DOWNs!

10. to the playground!
ok. anyway, KC was late (as usual). but he brought along BIRTHDAY CAKE! YAY! haha. went over to playground to blow the imaginary candles and make a wish. oh. and jeremy was acting like a child, being turned around in a round-about thing which errrr made him dizzy. nvm. good training for singapore flyer later. HAHAHAHA.

so anyway, we sang birthday song and stuff. couldn't decide how to eat the cake and jeremy tears away part of the paper box to act as a spoon but jerald didn't want to use it... in the end, the cake wasn't eaten hahahahaha. ok. so... we went off. haha.

the children at the playground were mimicking jeremy being spun around round-about. ahhahaha. but anyway, the kid was very nice, pointed out that jerald's file was left behind. haha. sooo lucky she said that man. if not it would have been left behind. sooo sad i forgot to thank her. haix. nvm. anyway, shujian, dennis and i plotted to keep the file until jerald realized it wasn't there. hahahaha... so off we went. it wasn't until we reached the mrt that jerald realized and everyone got worried. so i presented the file to jerald and jamie came chasing me for making everyone so worried. hahaha. well, at least it's better than leaving it behind right? (: DOWN BEFORE AN UP!

11. MRT and hillary goes the wrong way!
haha. ok. so we went into the MRT. ok. here begins the miscommunication. jamie thought that hillary was going and told kenneth to buy her a ticket when hillary only mentioned that she was paying for jerald's ticket. HMMMM... haha. so off went hillary in the other direction of the train. LOL. so there was immediate panic with people pulling people out to talk to them (like 请借一步说话 in 大长今). haha.

although it was panic, we actually found it quite fun. in the end, it was decided that hillary would come back and follow us to the singapore flyer. so anyway, dennis suggested to me to make jerald not know that hillary's going to the singapore flyer until we actually reach the singapore flyer. i suggested that idea to leon and leon said it to jamie. it was just about to be an UP (like another surprise for jerald). Leon said "jerald doesn't know yet that hillary's coming along right, soooo..." den Jamie runs over to tell jerald that hillary's coming. LOLLLL!!! ok. so plan spoilt just like that. HAHA ok. nvm. it's still rather fun. and it would be rather bad to make hillary go alone to singapore flyer.... haha. so another DOWN BEFORE AN UP!

12. MRT journey
haha. the MRT journey was quite fun. Shu Jian, Dennis and I were exchanging jokes. hahahahaha. damn funny... (: ommmmggggg... im totally in love with lame jokes. all the supposing (sapo singh) and stuff... hahahahaha... damn funny. after that, we tried to have an introductory session between the 2 groups cuz we were gonna get trapped in the capsule for 30 minutes together later anyway. but after a bit of introduction, we had to go off. nevertheless, an UP for MRT JOURNEY!

13. Taxi and Walking
so after going out of MRT, hoped on into a taxi together with Jerald, Jun Sheng and Dennis. haha. we were supposed to walk there but due to all the delays, we were late. haha. so taxi ride there. hmm. not bad. reached there in time. THEN, we realized that kenneth, shujian and KC had decided to walk there because it was supposed to be a 1km walk. haha. so we began worrying that they won't make it in time and stuff... well, they did in the end, after some persuading from Jun Sheng to postpone our ride by a bit. haha. so just as we thought that our worries were all over and there was going to be an UP...

14. Jamie's HANDPHONE goes missing!
ok. so Jamie pulls me aside to tell me that her handphone is missing and that she wasn't going to take the ride. omg. that would be rather sad. however, after some thinking, she decided to try calling the taxi company to find out whether or not they could find her handphone, and YES THEY DID. haha. so a plan was made for the taxi driver to pass the handphone to the counter and Jamie was going up for the ride after all! It's yet another DOWN before an UP! hahah..

15. SINGAPORE FLYER
ok. we've come (finally) to the most important part of Jerald's birthday celebration. HOORAY! haha. this was, of course, an UP, both literally (we were going high UP into the sky) and figuratively. haha. the ride was ultra cool. took loads of pictures up there. shall upload them now. YEAH!

so anyway, the ride was really really ultra cool. it felt damn nice high up in singapore, looking down on singapore. this was one of the few times i actually like singapore's scenary. fantastic. we had a really great time up there. at first, we thought that there would be a seperation between the 2 groups up there which would have made a weird atmosphere but that wasn't the case! HAHA. i think Jamie and Jeremy played an important role with their very nice personalities. HAHAHA. it was totally fun up there. 30 minutes seemed like nothing and we really hoped that it was longer cuz it was really really enjoyable... singapore flyer ftw man... (((: yay!!! UPPPPP!!!

15. post-ride
so after the ride, we all went around the mall to take photos and stuff. haha. here are some of them:

ok. so after it all, just settled at a quiet corner where Go6P + shu jian mm just talked i guess. haha. and jerald ate his birthday cake. it was a really nice way to end off the day. there was of course, still the incident of the losing of the handphone to be solved when we realized that the driver did not return the handphone. there was a police report filed but i couldn't stay behind to help them. hope it's found! (:

what a day! 18th april. best day of the year AS YET! haha. hope there's still a better day to come and im hoping it's 18th sept. hahaha. well, something this day has really taught me is that there are no ups without any downs.

hillary coming for the singapore flyer wouldn't be soooo nice if we didn't experience the thought of her not coming.
kenneth coming for the singapore flyer too wouldn't be as nice if he hadn't got his nose injured and got us all worried.
the card wouldn't have been so nice if it hadn't took me 2 days to make it. (:

so i guess next time you're down, be happy, cuz with every downward force, there comes an equal and opposite upward force to cheer you up.

With every upward slope which you have to climb, there comes a downward one which you can slide.
With every problem that you face, there comes a resolution which solves the problem.

With every year that you age, there comes a birthday in which you can celebrate maturity.
