this is my 197th post. hooray. about to reach the historic 200.
well, i wont talk abou my bloggin experience yet. maybe i'll do it on the 200th post.
There are more serious things to focus on today.
RICO needs better organization. A cruel yet true fact. It needs a real revamp. We must relook on the ways we organize stuff. how we inform people of prac, how we plan for concerts, how we get people to do stuff etc. This just cannot do.
Congrats to Wen Qiang today. He did a great job except for the first part.
Well, I have never much experience about leading a section and i guess today was my first try. Not really leading section. Leading others in another section to do stuff for our section, which to some extent is harder. or maybe easier. i wouldn't noe.
But RICO needs someone who is more assertive yet still passionate about CO. And the person I feel will do the job is Jeremy. He's a great leader in the sense that he speaks up unlike me. I only work well with people when we are at the same level, not at a higher level.
One may argue that leaders do not necessarily at a higher level than his followers. But I don't agree. Or maybe at least it doesn't work in this case. Or at least for the chairman position. Maybe not for the vice-chair position.
As I was saying, Jeremy is a much more assertive leader, and he makes sure that things go in accordance to how he wants it to be. In this sense, I think it is these people who will bring about most help to CO. Especially in a not so commited one.
As the battle for the chairman position begins again, here are some contending candidates (at least I think so):
1. Jeremy
2. Ren Yan
3. Yee Siang
4. Samuel
5. Ben Aw
6. Gilbert
7. Vincent
8. Jun Sean
9. Chun Yin
It's a pretty long list and a pretty hard battle for the top position. But going down the list, I still feel that Jeremy has what it takes to take up that position. Ren Yan and Yee Siang are good to be vice-chair. They have great personalities. I'm not so sure about Ren Yan, I hardly talk to him, but I do know that Yee Siang is a great friend.
Jun Sean and Chun Yin are also great choices. Vincent will probably become student conductor with his talents. Samuel is an outspoken person too. And of course Gilbert and Ben Aw.
Well, 9 people. Who to be chairman? Who to change the organization in CO?
I wonder...
RJCO percussion concert. wish them good luck. Hope they have a great time and I'm very sure I will too.
Congratulations to Jason. He's done a great job. so sorry i couldn't come and congratulate you. haha. BL sortta prevented that from happening although in a way he wasn't trying to do that too...
Who else? I'm not sure. But 1 thing is for sure. If RICO is going to succeed in anyways, we have to start building up a good exco.
