hmm.

i'm so thankful of Ms. Kek and Mrs. Tay for giving me the opportunity to go to Shanghai for free.

cuz that meant that i got to know Yitao who's just too imba.

just listening him talk makes you feel inferior haha. okay maybe not so bad lol.

but yeah, i've been finding opportunities to develop myself further these days and signing up for events which would help me gain a wider perspective of what really happens in society.

so for starters, i signed up for youth advolution for health. i'm still unsure what i'll have to do there but i'm supposed to go for a "chit-chat" session with them on 29 Dec so i hope that goes fine.

and chingay has been going on fine as well. haha that gave me an opportunity to become a first-aider for free. although it was quite boring esp. on day 1 at least i learnt a lot of useful stuff and can not-so-importantly suan non first-aiders and more importantly help out in emergencies. but i guess the fun has yet to come. i was asked on the first day whether i wanted to become an usher or motivator. i thot that ushering should be quite simple and i could do that anywhere so i decided to go for something that at least for me, i found harder. don't think it's easy to get the crowd to be enthu esp. for such an unenthu person like me so i guess it'll be good training.

i'm trying to sign up for meet the people sessions as well through yitao to see what goes on there and maybe help out in my community as well. and of course, improve on my speaking skills cuz as my mom pointed out quite correctly today, i'm too straight and can't think on the spot. haha so i guess this would allow me to improve on that and of course, get to know people's lifes and their problems as well. think it would be quite fun (:

so that's 3 events for now.

i'm still considering whether to try out as a sports presenter for YOG. registration deadline is 31 dec so i still got a few more days. and of course, shine and envoy. those would be harder to get in i guess.

but at least i can be proud of making a good start. less stoning at home yay.

next week shall start on NIE job. so it's not NUS. it's NIE. hahaha. but whatever. sounds quite fun. Jamie was saying how good it'd be. can't wait haha. YES! another fun thing to do!

hmm. hope i can continue studying my investing even with so much things to do. but i realize i study more on the bus than at home. distractions... haha.

but there's still a long way to go before i can reach the standards of yitao or even my brothers. haha. i simply can't imagine winning the top 10 out of 1400+ contestants in a logo design competition or winning money in an architect competition or winning a free trip to germany for an environment project. it just sounds too good to be true haha.

but more importantly i have to keep in mind to do stuff that i enjoy and that are useful and can improve myself instead of joining stuff just for the sake of joining. so far chingay, YAH and MPS sounds like good options to me (:

oh damn ford stock prices dropping. from 3.14 to 2.94 haha.

but the world is funny. the CEO of the largest credit card company in the world losing his credit card. the CEOs of the 3 biggest automakers in Detroit driving hybrid cars all the way to congress. lol.

oh and got into math RA. yay i seem to be getting a lot of what i wish to be getting (: i'm not gonna regret not trying phy or chem RA just because bojian got both chem and math. lol. it's one thing to be in 2 RAs. it's another thing to be good at it. i dont think i can do well in phy or chem RA so yup. here i am with MATH! haha. hope it's gonna be fun and enriching.

sigh. so jealous of nina. can go taiwan and hk wth that would be my dream trip for this hols. zzz.

but den again i know of at least 5 people who are going UK/US this year which makes it worse.

haha nvm. i shall go there next time if i can get a scholarship. (: but for now i'd be stoning in singapore under the hot sun.

BED, HERE I COME!
