Zzz...
This is bad. Won only 4/7 games. ahh... First time in history I have not won 5 or more. at least in secondary school. The onli other time i won only 4 was when i was P3 and P5 i think. 2 times b4 this and repeated this year again. And what's more, out of the 4 games i won, onli 1 (against Ernest) was a big challenge or at least a close game, the other 3 I won were rather expected cuz my the opponent was much less strong. that technically makes it onli 1 win out of 4 instead of the normal 2 wins out of 4 or sometimes even 3. sigh.
And to add to that, 2 of them that I lost were rather close, especially the third game. and the last game, I was leading and I threw my lead away in a manner too easy for my opponent. haix. The last game should have been a comfortable victory. I thought I made a good start to the game. actly i did, but my mid game was crap so ya.
haix. nvm. luckily, we still managed to achieve an overall 2nd, winning Dunman narrowly. (RI 5,4,4 : Dunman 5,4,3) lol. and congrats to the junior section too. Yiheng and Alan won themselves a trophy and so did Hong Bo in the open cat. Junior cat also won 2nd place and there were not really many close competitors in that one so ya. it's the first time in the history of RIweiqi that we achieved 2 2nds in qiuping. When I was in sec 1, it was open 2nd, junior 3rd. In sec 2, it was open 3rd, junior 2nd. So that can be viewed as an improvement but that is definitely not enough. I have seen an improvement in myself. Last time, I wouldnt have stood a chance at all against a HCI guy but this time at least I was really close in 1, losing out onli because of tie1 mu4 and i can really say that my opening is really beginning to take shape as seen in the last game. The thing now is to improve on my midgame, determining how best to win without the most risks which I failed to do in my last game.
k. no use crying over spilt milk now. just need to start improving. hope that next competition will be better. =)

change of blogskin
haha hihi people...
changed blogskin cuz Mike was complaining that the words were too small + they were no comments to be put + cannot put labels. So yar. here it is now. haha. may try to find some nicer ones with these functions next time. but for now, it will be so.
Yea. Today was such a fruitful day.
Began with CIP with interact. woke up at 8 to reach schl at 9. Started with some rehearsal on the exercises we would be doing. The volunteers, me included, were all confused over what we were supposed to do. Adding that to the complex yet easy at the same time (lol. irony.) dance moves, we were really afraid we wouldnt be able to do a good job. Well, at least I thought so. Not sure about KC, Samson and LjS though. haha. So after some practice, we set off for some toa payoh area where we were all gathered at a small but still rather cosy shelter or gathering place for the CIP to begin.
It was a really nice experience interacting with the people there. haha. The people were all rather friendly and though we did very little for them, they didn't really mind (at least i think so... xD)... So we did the dance with them first. Though the dance moves appeared simple to us, it seemed a bit too difficult for the elderlies so Titus (in charge of the dance) changed the moves on the spot with some good thinking and all of us volunteers were even more confused. haha. In the end, most of the moves were claps though.. haha. After which, we went to play the station games... I started off with the ping pong ball game. haha. it seemed all very simple to us but it seemed like a rather big challenge for the elderlies. Throwing the ball into the beaker... Hm. After that, we went to the card games stall. supposed to do pairing la. like those memory work type. got cards. den u must get 2 of the same number. haha. and supposed to have 30 sec limit. but in the end, probably bcuz of my lousy instructions, they played it the wrong way, opening more than 1 at once. haha. and they definitely crossed the 30s limit. but nvm. i think they had fun. n den after that, we played another memory work game. this time, we allowed the elderlies to see 10 items, after which we placed them into the box and ask them to try to remember all 10 items again. with some help from the students, all of them got all correct. haha. den there was song guessing competition as well.
After that, it was lunch time. So just scoop the food and serve the people loh. haha. quite ok la. and after that, it was pack up time n sending the elderlies off.
Haha. so i guess it was a rather simple CIP. well, i think it was quite useful to both the elderlies and me... I'm starting to like interact. haha. maybe go join with KC. Hmm... see how bah... haha.

haha. not bad... so after that, sat bus back to j8 with Samson, Guo Wei, KC and LjS. haha. fun!~
So after that rushed to esplanade onli to find myself late but still earlier than Sam. haha. Sam took a taxi and he was later than me... Hmm... what does that say about S'pore's road traffic compared to the MRT??
haha. But he reached on time and b4 long, we were in the theatre. Omg. haha. Theatre was big... We were sitting in circle 3 but the first row of circle 3. I think those were quite good seats considering we bought it much cheaper than those in circle 2 n circle 1 n stall seats. got a rather big picture of the whole thing...
So anyway... the musical really started with a bang. an auction. Hmm... I loved the first scene. I think it's the best scene. And the second best one would be the one with the producers and directors and actresses etc discussing on whether or not to continue filming cuz of the phantom. haha. I thot that scene was rather amusing.
Hmmzzzz... So ya. It was damn good. I loved it. haha. all the singing, the music, the props... woah. it was pro. Really enjoyed it. wont ever forget about it mann... it has changed my entire perception of musicals...
After the musical ended, went 4 weiqi lesson. haha. trashed ze xi twice b4 going for jiang.
lol. i think a lot of people werent paying attention during jiang. me included. but i still learnt quite a lot of things today. Hm. stupid la. We did the same bao zhang du hou gan at jiang as the one we had for our exam... zzz... haha. y didnt we do it earlier??
k. nvm. haha. yar. so, that is that. I really love this sort of fruitful days. So much knowledge to learn. So fun. haha. Really hope i can have more of these sort of days.
k. anyway, tml will be chionging homework day.

I got to catch up with people like Barry and Huiyao before I fall too far behind...
