my fruitful year

Although this year has yet to have ended, I still feel strongly that this will be my best year ever. Maybe it's because of the many opportunities that have arisen for me this year. I have to say that I am rather lucky to be given such opportunities and would like to say that I have gained much from all these experiences... Maybe it's because of the many great people in 3B. 3B rocks!!! Yeah!!!

Some of the greatest experiences so far:
1. Math RA

One of the best choices I've made in my life. It may be hard, but I really enjoy it. Somehow, getting low marks does not really matter to me. Of course I still study and wish to get higher marks, but I don't seem to be hurt by the poor results I get sometimes. This, in my opinion, is important as it is the amount learnt that is important and not the marks. I feel that I have learnt loads from this raffles academy.

2. OBS

OBS was one of the best mental tests and physical tests I've ever had. It was great, with the friends around me, with all the activities, the challenges, with us working as a team to solve them. We knew our team was not exactly one of the physically fittest, but we persisted and we did well in the end. I learnt loads in this camp, bonded with a lot of friends and the sense of achievement was really great when we completed the whole programme, especially for the land and sea expedition.

3. IBN

IBN was a great experience as well. For the first time, I got to experience work and as a researcher too! The month long attachment taught me loads and gave me lots of friends too.

4. Taiwan

The best trip I've ever gone for. It was not only cheap, I learnt SO MUCH from it. It's just like my life would have been completely different if I had not gone to Taiwan. The experience was just too great to be true.

5. CO SYF

For the first time, I saw CO really bond as a whole. The gold that had eluded us for so long finally came. A big achievement...

6. The CLAN

Keng Chee, Jun Sheng, Kenneth, Jerald, Dennis and me. YEAH!

And those upcoming ones:
1. Overseas Immersion Programme

really excited. hope it will be as good or even better than taiwan! that would rock!

2. CO end of year concert (which will rock cuz lots of alumni - like 20 over - are coming back)

really excited too! who isn't excited about concert performances? but this will be my biggest performance ever. It holds much importance to the CO and me.

oh and i just finished cross country run which was yet another great experience. I'm happy with my 27.5 min for a 4.2km run although it can be better. Well, at least that was a small improvement from last year's 33 min for 4.8km run. woohoo!! yeah. high! and we finally taught tempo to KC, Jerald, Kenneth and Zhi Yi! Next step: teach whole class! Yeah!!! LOVE!

My results have been not bad so far. Must continue working hard. This year is fast becoming the best year ever for me!!!
